It’s a wierd design choice, really. To have my warpaint vanish every hour it’s like getting default character appearance 10 times a day. Make armor dyes vanish every hour too, while you’re at it.
For an RPG where character appearance is very important, this is breaking my immersive role playing.

This has been a request for a very long time. It would also allow Sloughing fluid a ln actual use. So like. Make them permanent but you need the fluid to get them off. The decorative only. Not the magical which don’t seem to work anyways. You can’t overwrite them.
Sitting on a goldmine.

I’ve seen some cool tattoo style warpaints in SP gameplay videos, but this won’t help you on officials, sadly.

How about fixing the color bug? all my tattoos are bright white.

This is not intentional? o.O I don’t remember having any tatoo in other color that white, but I don’t use them, before I did just for completing journey step.
You have to use dyes to make tattoos, they are supposed to be that color. This glowing bright white is new.

I use the Fashionist mod it lets you pick the colours of your war paint.
This isn’t really a reasonable solution and may no longer work as I haven’t tried it for several patches but I’ll throw it out there just in case someone wants to test it.
I have had warpaints become permanent, one on an official server, by applying them then camping that character out of the game for an extended period of time. As in weeks or even months in one case. I assume that it needs to be at least long enough for your character to disappear from the game world but that’s just a guess.
This is truly permanent as the paint will persist even through death. I’ve never tried sloughing fluid or using a different warpaints on these characters so can’t say how that would go.
Obviously if you try this don’t log out for so long that your base decays.
If you are playing on a private server or the SP game, there is this mod.
On the private servers, you can ask the admin team if they are willing to add it to the list.
Hmmm, server I’m on uses fashionesta{?}, I don’t, but it may be the issue with the tattoos.
They are the right color on thralls, but don’t last.
