What is the safest way to play single player?

,

I hate to be that guy… but my reading of the tea leaves is that Dune is by far their main focus at the moment and when/if that gets sorted the best we can hope for is an interim patch for CE, that hopefully makes single and multi player safer and more bug free, before they move on to the next project. Whatever form said project may take.

In reality we are all , every single person in here, that guy or gal . No worries  . But … isn’t this game a gem. Do you disagree that this game could have a second chance in the market? But not the patch and bandage way … not the milky way… but true and professional work. This time however no freaking early access, neither open programming that anyone capable can violate. A closed ready product, not accessible to any other programmer. Enough with hacking I say, like PlayStation.

To be honest I don’t know. That’s a multi million dollar investment call and I don’t have the insider knowledge to make it.

I do know it’s very hard to get people to go back to a game they’ve moved on from so I suspect a CE sequel won’t happen unless there is some genuine creativity and feature advancement involved.

I would agree that CE is, on the whole, greater than the sum of it’s parts, so to speak. It keeps people playing longer than you’d think it would by looking at the amount of content and scope of the game. Though some of that is the mods to be sure.

As long as they’ll drop the bomb of creating Conan exiles 2 , everyone will anticipate it even if they know that it will take years to be prepared. For many titles we anticipate more than 4 years to buy it on the highest possible price  .

Conan exiles saved them from bankruptcy, Conan exiles 2 will save them from Tencent bossing! They will make ten times their invest and they know it .

It’s been mentioned before, but on PC you can backup your saved game progress. Backup everything in the folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved” and give it a name that includes the character name and the date you backed up the folder. I use 7-Zip to backup the folder.

Especially backup just before an update or when you stop playing for a while. That way if the worst happens you can delete the “Saved” folder and copy back the contents of your last save.

For your convenience - you don’t need the whole folder, all you need is the most recent ‘game.db’ file (modern versions of windows hide the file extension, so it’s just ‘game’) (or ‘dlc_siptah.db’ for Isle of Siptah).
