What is your favorite method to quickly level up Thralls šŸ’Ŗ?

Greetings!
Oh, yeah, 3.0 is around the corner :smile_cat:!
What is your favorite method to quickly level up Thralls?
I usually go and kill some Rocknoses, then anything around The Sinkhole, and it will take Thralls to level 10, but not as quick as I would like.
I would like to try a faster way to level them up, at least all the way to level 15.

Jungle till level 10 and then unnamed city to max the out. Level 15 is where I start going after bosses.

I have a route through Ape City that hits every gorilla, grey ape, panther, bird, and snake. On occasion, if the thrall is strong enough, I will run over to The Silkwood for the two boss spiders, and swim out to kill the demon spider. It takes around 45 minutes, and is good for level 16-17 on a Berserker.

I’ll run a second time through if I feel like it.

I just tell them to follow and then go about my own business. They level up in about the same time (unless I’m crafting or building) and I don’t have to feel like I’m grinding anything for them. I just brought ā€œSomeone The Terribleā€ to level 11, it took me 37min, and I got the elephant hides I was after (plus 9 tiger cubs, and 1k coal).

I used to do the ā€œgrind for thrall levelsā€ thing but gave it up because it’s too boring.

I just want to level fast my ā€œguardsā€. For my Thrall companions I just level like you said, doing whatever I am up to :smiley_cat:.

That’s what I do for my guards. My companion is usually an animal… White Tiger, Tor, Brutus, Frost Giant, Mammoth, Greater Rhino, etc. I guess I do the same thing for them too though…

brimstone lake, the rocknoses give too much xp and die in like 1 or 3 hits.

I will try giants tomorrow, I need to run and get my cold proof gear :vulcan_salute:t3:.

By far one of the fastest ways to level up thralls!

@TeleTesselator is on the same route with me!
All you need is 4 lvl 20 high geared thralls to break all the purges of the game. I personally need just one, but I am another story!
To rush a lvl up, crocodiles and everything reptilian, spiders, apes, rocknoses, frost giants, skeletons, etc…
Basically, even npcs with high hp help you level up your thralls, but mobs are better!
If you just run courses, without thinking the level up grind, things will flaw easy!
For example…
I need brimstone, I will go to the lake…
I need wraps, I will go to kings Niche
I need elephant hide, I will go to Savanah, or frost temple to farm mammoth and giants (they drop elephant hide very often)
I need fragments, I will go to unnamed city
I need scraps, I will go warmakers
I need khari, I will go wine cellar
I need…
Anywhere you go, you will level up your thrall, leave nothing alive in the way and the job is done

Yep… The game is soooo much more fun when you’re not thinking that you’re ā€œgrindingā€ but rather farming - and it’s like a bonus when after getting what you need you see your follower got another perk or hit 20. And there’s just not enough time difference between the two to make any meaningful difference.

Maybe things like this are why the self-proclaimed ā€œvetsā€ are always in here saying they have such a different experience to me? It’s the mind and mindset and then enforced by the echo-chamber in here…

I also run a route through the Unnamed City. I hit everything but the bosses. It takes too long to kill them for the amount of XP they give. I can kill 4 skeletons quickly and get the same XP. The SW corner of the city has enough Wights and skeletons for almost 1.5 million XP.

Frost giants on occasion, and a run through the Mounds for all the Wights and wolves isn’t bad for a few hundred K. I like to vary what I do.

I cannot count the times I checked my new training thrall and it was already 20, so I was omg I have to return back, how long I am out :rofl::rofl:!
Yes Tele, the game should be fun, nothing else! All it requires is good organization and build that you can handle alone if necessary! My huge build days are long gone, I’ve done it I enjoy it a lot and it’s over for me! I want to be free to recreate character whenever I feel like. The only base I was really in love was on 3728, I was refreshing it for about 1.5 year. Occasionally I was playing there for some days or jumped in when someone on the chat was in need! 3 months before the merges announced I let it decay. Believe me, I never felt more free, liberated!
It was something like a bond you know, an unnecessary bond which was eating me than made me happy!
No… I am free and having more fun than ever!

I’m not really playing anymore, due to IRL things.

But I thought I would pop in to answer this question.

It depended on what else I needed, I usually tried to be efficient, so if I needed brimstone, I would kill rock noses around the shattered springs as I gathered sulfur.

If I need steel I farmed Nordheimers and Cimmerians. Also If I was looking for crafter thralls this is a good place to level fighters etc.

Hides or leather, and/or specific crafters/pets?, like when I was hunting iguana young and the Armorer Fia, for my good friend @Barnes I would level a thrall on the grey apes.

Then I would top off the thrall in the unnamed city, as I gathered fragments of power.

I would just use level appropriate thralls for the area, Thralls would level quickly and it didn’t feel like a grind because I was multitasking.

I for one always learn new things by engaging with Droch, and it seems to me leveling is quite a bit different this time post-3.0. It will be intriguing to see how he learns to level them his way.

For me I go for density. If you start at Sinner’s Refuge (where everyone should, every day), then work your way up past Batsie toward the river, you’ll hit dense pods of Rocknoses. If you complete the arc by following up the river, then curving down to Executioner’s Entrance, you can complete a very fruitful loop. Heh.

Then I stay at the Executioner until either my duder dies by rare fluke which I call ā€œmeant to be,ā€ levels to completion or I get the Hood. Then I finish them off with a trip to a Spider Chest Boss, then a White Tiger plus Chest.

I miss you guys too.

However because I’m not actively playing, I can’t jump into conversations when I have no experience to garner an opinion.
