What would it take to get the ESRB to reconsider full nudity?

Where should that anger be directed?

Kids, for doing something they shouldn’t have. Parents, for letting them do it. Or developers exercising their rights to freedom of expression and creativity.

Who should be punished for it?

Kids, parents, or adults that consent to have such content present in their media consumption.

The last choice for each question is the wrong answer, just in case it wasn’t obvious.

Part of issue is, were your from and who your talking of.

My Mom, If she caught one of my Brothers with something there not suppose have, its ■■■ beating, sit in corner and stuff taken away. She may go thru trouble of finding out where you got it.

Some Parents rant at store, some gather others, some have power and know how to take it to top. Theres people who blame everyone else but themselves for bad parenting.
Rest of us suffer for it.

I know people in my state who would rather go back to Best Buy, Walmart yell out manager, then take blame for not checking CD/games rating.

Just watched about half of that video. All I saw were politicians trying to control public opinions and actions. That’s definately not something that should exist, but the ESRB is not much better.

That Night Trap game looked like something I would not be interested in at all, but those politicians trying to get it removed from existance and what they said about its creators wasn’t right either. The people that made that game had every right to do so, and no one should be able to deny them that right.

I still believe this entire situation could be better handled with proper education, and parents being more responsible. Stifling developers by not allowing them to market their product normally is not the answer. Neither is restricting mature content on one platform while allowing it on another.

Honestly, I’m ok without the full nudity, it’s not game breaking. Although going full Game of Thrones RP would be awesome.

Does switching your region on Xbox affect getting full nudity unlocked?

Yes and no. I bought the digital US version and downloaded it. Of course, the nudity patch didn’t come with it. In order to access the free nudity dlc, it’s just a quick changing of setting and downloading the game over again.

Here’s what to do if you have an xbox. Caveat. This worked for me. I can’t promise things haven’t charged.

  1. Uninstall your game
  2. Switch your region settings to UK from US. Note you cannot buy anything. You can only download games you own. The store knows you are in a region that is not “home”.
  3. Select CE from the Microsoft store. It should grab the nude dlc automatically. If not, search on conan nude patch. Click to download.
  4. Once everything is downloaded set your region back to US.

I play on US servers all the time in Full nude now with no issue.

No. All that was patched out, IIRC. There was an add-on that could be downloaded at one point that unlocked it. Last time I checked, which was several months ago, it wasn’t possible to download the add-on in the US.

I imagine the only way to have full nudity now is to import a copy with a PEGI rating from a European retailer.

So long as you start with a digital copy it’s easy to fix. If you have a disk, I don’t know of anyway to fix it.

That may be it then. I have a hard copy, bought from wally world. That add-on didn’t even show a download button when I checked.

Yeah, I know your pain. I might have a hard copy (early release) and a digital version bought after I found out about the whole dlc issue. Not that I’m admitting to it of course.

Yeah, I’m a tightwad though. Can’t justify buying a second copy just for some uncovered pixels. Maybe when/if the price drops again, I’ll think about it.

Well in the end having two copies of the game worked out. My wife started to play.

I’ve been looking for PAL copy, Amazon tends to only list NA copies for me, Handful of PAL region were 50-60$ cause it was sealed, or “day 1” XD

But the games would be in an area with no kid traffic. They wouldn’t have it right by my little pony games or Madden. And in America, it is still more of a teenagers market for games being brought at retail. It is changing generation to generation, but the majority of game buying at retail is guided by the kids asking to get it. Adult gamers tend to buy online or digitally. Brick and mortar are dying off slowly, so at some point i see consoles getting a steam type site. Then this will be all moot.
