When can I haz NPC purge, please?

im on a different platform, but my last 3 purges have been lizards, rocknose, reapers. Has ANYONE had NPC purges lately?

So it seems it’s a regression: a bug that was there before, got fixed and now got reintroduced.

To be honest it could be very bad luck.

What I mean is: just one single case, like the one reported now by @Jim1, give us the evidence it’s not broken.

My friend just had 7-8 purges, and maybe he could be wrong in determinig what level they was, because even if no human, a rocknoses purge could be level 1 up to level 6.

Very bad luck do not means bug, statistically, it’s not impossible.

Indeed. To date I have managed neither a Blade of Crom nor a Lifeblood Spear from the Unnamed City. On the other hand, I’ve had fairly good luck getting Ladega… whatsherface… Ymir’s daughter to spawn in Asagard.

Oh, yes. I get starved Exiles. I get nothing but Starved Exiles.

I admit that it’s probably my own fault because I’ve built a continuous stretch of foundations from the Pagoda of Boundless Lusts via Black Galleon and Summoning Place to Sepermeru, and via the Den up to Mounds of the Dead and New Asagarth. So this one huge base spanning almost the whole world probably breaks the Purge a little.

Last time I spent several hours up in the Highlands where I have two bases with my Purge meter full. Nothing happened. But withing five minutes of stepping into the Swungle biome I get a Purge at the southernmost point of my base network, where it always lands.

The first wave was Frigga Falsehope and a T1 Exile fighter. The next wave spawned into a rock (I checked in Ghost mode, they were stuck inside a rock formation). That broke the rest of the Purge. False hope, indeed. And I was looking forward to finally getting a Highlands Purge.

PC PvE Official here, and I’ve been to 7 purges this week, 2 of them attacking my accounts. Here’s the breakdown of what they were, with the ones that contained T4 NPCs in bold:

  • C9 southern edge of the river between the cliffs: Cimmerian Beast Tamers (my alt)
  • E9 just east of the hollowed-out tower: Disciples of Jhebbal Sag
  • E/F9 atop the ridge south of New Asagarth: Rocknoses
  • F7 on the River Peninsula: Disciples of Jhebbal Sag (my main)
  • F10 in the very center near the iron nodes: Vanir Hunters
  • G9 along the southern edge of the pond: Rocknoses
  • I4 on the coast at the northern edge: Imps

From what I’ve experienced since last patch, purges are occurring with a good range of NPC possibilities from none (imps, rocknoses) to a few (Jhebbal Sag), to lots (Vanir, Cimmerians).

Well, I started this conversation, so after 20 straight critter purges, I finally encountered Starving Exiles last night, with at least 1 T4 in cell I7. Purge level cap was set at 4.

I suppose that counts as an NPC purge and hope it signifies a change in ‘luck’, even though 1/21 seems a bit low.

I may actually shut up for a while
