Hey, Funcom. We’re still waiting on the patches to be rolled back. Many of us are tired of the broken UI, horrible changes to the control systems, pointless changes to the dye system, the new bugs, the FOMO, the horrid journey system, etc.
Put the classic version of CE, the last patch before Age of Sorcery came along and ruined the game, in the beta tab on Steam. Do the same for the dedicated server. Let us easily revert to that version whenever we want to without having to use the Steam console. Put a few official classic servers out there for us that are running the pre-Sorcery patch.
You know to have this expectation, you would need FC to accept it. Your pointing it out that is what you would like to see is not sufficient to garner the expectation it would happen. Especially when tens of other posters in that thread gave you valid reasons you would never see this.
Sorry, but rolling back almost 2 years worth of updates isn’t going to happen. Ever. If you’re so desperate for the pre Age era, uninstall Conan and all of its dlc, then reinstall the base game (without dlc) whilst disconnected from the internet.
Old one went way off the rails, and got locked, because of a huge amount of off topic yapping that went on for over 100 posts so a new one had to be created. I want people to stay on topic, stay focused, on making sure Funcom knows we want what we paid for.
We aren’t going to get fixes for everything that’s wrong so a roll back is the only viable option. They’re going to push forward with ALL of the garbage they put in the last update even though most of it is unwanted trash.
why are you waiting for something that has not been promised to you or to anyone?
the tittle is asking as to where is something they have never promised.
it looks like you are REQUESTING Something… and for the looks of it, unless you can gather hundreds of players (in a proven way, with they names accounts etc) and let funcom know that this List of hundreds of players want it… there are no chances of you getting what you are requesting.
also, funcom has moved to the Bazaar and battlepass business models, why would they be encouraged to do something like that , what kind of business model will you recommend them ? so those servers are kept up and running? sorry but for me your request seems unrealistic, because there are many more things involved.

how do you propose to make keeping “a classic” version of the game sustainable for them?
paid montly subscription? lets say 15 Bucks per month?
keep bazaar and battlepass?
DLC (its a big NO funcome already moved out from that model, and its not coming back, because it was not good revenue wise)
EDIT : for the record, i do not think it makes much sense, it opens up two different patch teams, it removes their way to keep the game profitable, we are having a hard time with just one version of the game, the team is not large enough for keeping both “games”
PVE NAs has over 15 regular, what servers are you looking at? And more then that, and the server destabilizes easy.
I never see less then 3 on and that is 5AM when the server I’m on is at it’s lowest.
They know very well, they are just trolling the forum.
Which is a forum TOS violation.
Fact is it is neither. It’s neither a fix for any of the legacy issues and will just bring back solved issues, which makes it nonviable.
Lets do a poll. go ahead start one. Would you like the game rolled back to pre 3.0. Or to continue getting fixes and new content. Tens would be the percent the want to roll back I’m sure.
