Where's that roll back to pre-Sorcery - we're still waiting, Funcom

It’s not going to happen.

Only thing I want rolled back is the crafted gear nerfs, pet nerfs and the bugs of course.

And ffs bring back transfers.

I will say it again. I don’t support the rollback. Sorcery is my favourite part of the game.

Read the first post in the thread again, make sure you understand what I’m asking for because it’s pretty clear from this post that you missed a few things.

you can ask all what you want, you aint going to get it, but hey keep asking! its your time

Everybody understands what you’re asking for. Please stop saying this :man_facepalming: it’s just you’re struggling to garner any support. It’s ok to have an unpopular idea or wish. I’ve had plenty :man_shrugging: I’m sure most have. But to insist that no one else understands is just denying a fairly obvious truth.

People are against a roll-back but they don’t understand what it means. Rolling back the last few updates would fix everything that happened and they don’t necessarily have to undo progress, there are ways to maintain progress, battle pass unlocks, etc. It’s not much different than implementing a patch or update in the first place.

As soon as the issues were identified with the most recent update, and that was mere hours after the update happened, they should have immediately rolled it back. If they had we wouldn’t have had to contend with an untested, broken, update that contained some changes no one wanted or asked for, and that almost everyone is mad about. They could have done that and then put it back on the burner to finish cooking it, THEN roll it out again when it’s actually ready. Instead we’re back to “early access beta” days with insane bugs, broken controls, a trash UI…

You keep saying that to people. I understand what you want. A separate server rolled back to pre sorcery version of the game. One that will not have any updates going forward. so you can have the game you paid for.

I’m saying that I don’t support that idea. I would never play on such a server and I think it wouldn’t be successful. Since I believe it would fail I don’t want funcom wasting any time on this fools errand.

By all means continue shouting into the void or tilting at windmills, however each time you bring one of these topics up I will voice my disagreement.

The point is that we have to speak up so Funcom will know, and hopefully understand, that many of us are not satisfied with the last few updates, especially that last dumpster fire, and that we don’t like the direction the game has been going. People are quitting the game over this, and it’s not just a few dozen people. Every day more and more people are voicing their opinions and leaving the game behind because of what Funcom messed up.

Thanks for participating in a mostly constructive manner. You were doing well until that windmill comment.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t want this to happen because it won’t affect you. You will be able to keep playing the current version of the game just like you are now. Cyberpunk’s 1.63 legacy version has plenty of people playing it, WoW Classic has plenty of people playing it, and CE “legacy” would, too, if they could take a few minutes to set it up for us in the beta tab. It’s not like it would take a lot of work, the data already exists on the Steam database.

I’m not here to fulfill your demands. If you took a minute to look at these very forums you would see. If you want to know, then look.

I’m afraid you are incorrect when you say it won’t affect me. To have what you want funcom will need to set up at least 3 “classic” servers one for each play style ( PvP, PvE, PvE-C)

This will require time and manpower resources (However small that it may be). I predict these servers will be completely abandoned in short order which will lead funcom to closing them. Since Funcom will make no money from these servers it will be a waste of time for them. It’s simply time and effort that could be spent elsewhere ( Like I said before no matter how small).

That time and effort could be spent on improving the game I’m currently playing. If they instead spend that time and effort on your “classic” servers I am cheated out of what could have been done to improve my game.

People who started playing “yesterday” wont stop asking for that rollback.
If they were smart enough to do a little search and find out everything they claim happens for 6 years, they would not have started to begin with.

There may have been a few compelling bugfixes and QOL improvements since 3.0 was released, but they are massively overshadowed by terrible design decisions and absurd new bugs. I would much prefer pre-3.0 (with some much-needed fixes) to the absolute trashy mess we have now. Nothing matters in the game, nothing makes sense, every patch makes the game worse.

Rolling back the servers and losing almost 2 years of progress as well as various cosmetic items from 7 battlepasses and BLB? I’m sure that’ll go down really bloody well with the community. Quit living in alternative facts land, wake up and realise that no, Funcom has moved on. As should you.

Cite at least 4 bugs that are entirely new and never happened “pre-3.0”.

Every time I ask this, people make a list, I go there on reddit and find 4 posts reporting them which are 4 or 5 years old. Some are 6 even.

Some of them, you dont even need to leave this very forum, just make a search right there in the box up right.

As said many times before, a roll back is not going to solve anything, yes, some of the bugs won’t be there, but the game was always buggy.
Plus by now, a rollback would probably drive away the players that are left

in the meantime you can check out the mod I’m working on

Some people don’t like change, but that doesn’t mean things are at all likely to go back to the state they were in before.

Sure you may think phone service was better when you could just pick up the receiver and just ask the operator to connect you to whoever you wanted, but the phone company is never going back.

Some small changes (e.g. precision splitting) may be reverted, but they won’t be back to quite the way you would like them.

Embrace change. Never expect to return to the past.

i want them to move forward, not go backwards. there will be bugs, and the game will be nearly unplayable for the weeks after a big patch. and that sucks.
but i like the idea of an evolving experience, even if parts of that experience fall flat. i don’t want a rollback.

I see some one went through with their alts and reported everyone that didn’t flat out agree with them

You mean the patches in the last hotfix?

Once again your alts are the only many of you.

The last few updates wouldn’t get us back to AoS, do you even know what you want?

That update was on testlive 2 weeks previous, they knew the issues before they dropped it and were already working on fixes.

:100:

Player numbers have been steady the last couple weeks so not sure where you are getting your info from.

Fan based.

fan based.

If it happens will be fan based. Are you going to reimburse them for the effort and the cost of the server? I think not.

That yours is the only thread about this subject for the last 2 weeks and the people that agreed with you pretty much only post to agree with you, odd how that works.

Wants a roll back but not to a broken version  gotta love those alts.
