Bug Description:

The whitelist (while being enabled on the server and in the .ini files) stopped working. I managed to fix it, but in my findings, I realised it might be because some funcom ID’s have symbols because they have used Steam Names. I realised this when I edited the whitelist.txt file and put :Unknown after the steam id.

Bug Reproduction:

Have several Steam ID’s with symbols and fonts whitelisted on a server.

Funcom Devs, please, please, please could we get a way to change our Funcom IDs?

You could allow for 1 free ID change and then charge for other ones.
If you disallowed symbols and custom fonts, it would save all of our problems.

I don’t understand the need to “whitelist.” Wouldn’t it be easier to just put a password on the server and then hand out the password to those you want on the server?

They do allow one time change on a case by case basis. Send them a ticket via ZenDesk explaining why you want it changed.

Whitelist is much better in my experience since only admin decides who can join by whitelisting the account. Password can be shared and you have to keep changing it.

Anyone can give out the password, which is problematic.

Is there a link to the Funcom ZenDesk area?

Going on to a completely different website seems like a strange choice.
