Whole buildings and pieces disappearing after updates due to stability?

Game mode: Online private (Unofficial)
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvE
Region: Europe

The bug is after an update I logged into server and and about 3/4 of my Argossean building is just gone. Thralls gone. EVERYTHING stability gone. We rolled back and fixed it then another small game hot fix came out and another of our players houses which was same material all gone. Even things on the ground. And everything said it lost stability. This is apparently an issue I have researched a bit and other people have had it. WHY are we losing stability on stable things? Why is this not fixed when this has been around for a long while apparently. This is angering more people than just me. If there are PERMANENT SOLUTIONS or even an acknowledgment from the Devs that they are aware and not just ignoring things that would be great.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
1.Can not just be reproduced. If its all happening after updates randomly and to random people through out many servers and throughout platforms too.
2.
3.
4.

SO I guess This is just gonna get ignored since its now happened again After yet another update. This has been going on since at least Jan 2020 minimum. I cant just keep asking an admin to spawn mats in or rollback a server for MY convience. That is unfair. Hell not even the same pieces disappeared. Foundations that were just used for stairs and stacked on top of each other are gone. Whole pieces thats have no need for stability gone. FIX YOUR GAME!

Are you running (or playing on) a modded server?

What building type are you using? Sandstone, Stonebrick?

I know there is a mod that has Lemurian Building pieces that will ALWAYS lose stability after an update. I do not even both building with those pieces anymore.

We are running modded server BUT it does not have building pieces of any sort. Only mod that relates to building its the one where you can place unrestricted. And we are use Aroggosean or whatever its called which is also what a team member who also had stuff disappear was using. Just ridiculous things with 100 stability were disappearing.

Same thing happened to me. My main base on un-modded Official PvE-C server disappeared with no decayed messages on the 25th, just a whole lot of stability lost messages. Like a hundred stability lost, but no decay warnings. None at all. Guys this base took me about 80 hours of game time to build. Was built from the Storm Glass set at the Ruins of Old Nebthu. Some pieces from Turan set, stairs from Arena set. It was also interspersed with Sandstone Foundations from the original base build.

Ok, so I go back to rebuild and I start putting up Storm Glass windows on the new Sandstone foundations. I get about 20 up stacked to 5 levels and then on the second level of the next wall/window it becomes clear instead of green and won’t let me continue. I check with a repair hammer and it says the first wall section has zero stability even though it is sitting on a foundation piece with 100 stability. So there is your BUG in action. Some player maybe walked by and my base collapsed due to this stability bug maybe? I also tried wall sections fron other building sets, Sandstone and Flotsam, but the same thing. However, I was only up to sandstone foundations in the re-build.

Anyway, not happy. 80 hours down the drain, or so, I know I was fiddling with it since last July, then made it Stormglass when Siptah first came out and we had the double resources.

I have screen shots but you should be able to repeat the BUG by building on the very front end of the Ruins of Old Nebthu, south side. It wasn’t a no-build issue because it happened on both sides. And it is the walls on foundations that are doing this. I interspersed floor pieces on each level and the walls became green with 100 stability, but you needed to put a floor at each level and if you remove the floor section the whole stack collapses.

Or hey, you could just go to Official Server 1516 PvE-C and see for yourself. Base is at the front end of the Ruins of Old Nebthu on the south. Check the Storm Glass windows with the unfinished stacks and compare the the ones with 5 levels stacked windows.

Shhh… noone tell ((name retracted)) clan on 1516 that they didn’t pay close attention to a timer at that base (They have a few bases that they refreshed successfully… somehow that timer was missed. Twice.)
and we had been watching it for 3 days up to Sunday 6pmish central.

We were not the only ones watching that base. We were late to the party… the gate already popped open by another clan, but we finished popping that base for the fun of it - hence the stability notices. Stability notices go crazy when a foundation is popped in a decayed base… Minus the gate, that base was in one piece before it was popped.

Now, I do not deny stability bugs at bases… I have had my fair share of them. Most showing up on the larger builds and pillar math… But in the case of ((name retracted)) clan on the 25th, it was strictly a missed timer. (Maybe their current build stability issue in the same build location of the popped base is why it’s buggy?)

Yeah for us we are just doing PVE and we Turned off the decay timer for us because we were losing Thralls and stuff. It would SEEM in many cases though they vary that stability kind of needs to be addressed due to it being a major part of building. Heck I thought Arks was bad with pillars but this kinda turning into reoccuring nightmare.

Well, I still can’t build there so it is a BUG. I thought I may have missed a timer while downloading 2.4 (took two days for me at 250 kbs), but I didn’t see any decay notices. Fortunately I was still moving into it so there wasn’t anything important there. Just some junk from the build.

Anyway, I get to the third Storm Glass window section (they are 3x wide and 5x tall) and suddenly the Storm Glass Window/Walls show zero stability when sitting on a sandstone foundation with 100 stability. Once bugged they stay bugged.

You may have mentioned it, but have you tried dismantling the foundation back to ground level, replacing it and try the stormglass again?

I bet it’s bugged cause of the old build…?

No, everything was completely decayed by the time I returned. Somehow with the 2 day download (for me) I thought I had been there more recently. My respawn pad was there so I could have just removed my bracelet and popped in for a few minutes at any time after Saturday AM.

However, I discovered that if I replaced the bugged sandstone foundations with Storm Glass, the stability issues were gone, but I had to actually destroy the bugged sandstone, not just build over it. Some kind of bug. I didn’t try replacing bugged sandstone with new sandstone ones though.

To follow up now we dont have just have structures disappearing. They are staying and Tier 4 Crafting stations are disappearing. Are we allowed to play Conan? (Also decay timer is off do not a decay thing.) People shouldnt log in and just be like oh…my stuff is gone. This is fine. AND this thread shouldnt go on so long without so some kind of dev or moderator acknowledgement either. So it just tells me they dont care or cant/wont fix it yet for their customer/fan base?
