So, all of a sudden I stopped gaining experience. It shows the next amount of exp needed to get the next level but nothing I do will add to my exp.
I think I am a level 60 or 61… I need the rhino harness to ride it but have no skill points to spend.
I have seen posts about this but no real answer… but some indicate 60 is the max.
Between this and issues with game saves on occasion, nothing worse than losing hours of building… and lets not forget the purges that happen if you are there or not… it makes me wonder if I really want to buy this game.
We play on Xbox, using the copy that comes with the ultimate subscription. We are enjoying this game and thinking of purchasing the full version but if this is the max, It’s not worth the 103.00 price tag currently being offered for the complete ultimate edition.
Any help on the exp thing would be appreciated… I would like to keep playing but do not see any reason to if I am maxed already.
As for needing more skill points, you can craft an item called “yellow lotus potion” in a firebowl cauldron with 10 yellow lotus flowers which will reset all of your feats and attributes which will allow you to re-learn the things you more immediately need.
As for where to go now that you’re 60, well the beauty of this game is that it’s really what you make of it, if you’re playing single player (which I’m guessing you are if you’re having issues with game saves?) and just want to complete the “main” in-game objective by getting your bracelet removed and walking off into the sunset… which in my opinion is kind of a bummer objective because your character gets deleted after that and you lose all of your progress.
PvP servers however are where things get interesting, not only do you have to protect your base from purges but you also need to learn how to build strategically/defensively against other players who will repeatedly bring your base(s) to the dirt and steal all of your hard earned loot… of course there is nothing stopping you from the same thing, then there is the whole aspect of trying to figure out who your real allies/enemies are… who’s going to double-cross you, who’s loyal… it’s can be a very very defeating experience having all the time you’ve sunk into the game just snatched away from you, but it can also be very rewarding experience if you play your cards right.
Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant haha… maybe wait for a sale if you’re unsure?
60 is max level. Won’t be gaining any more skill points that way. You’ve still got a few options though.
Yellow lotus potion will reset your skill and attribute points and they’re fairly cheap to make. You won’t lose any points, they’ll just be made available to reallocate to different skills.
Potion of Natural Learning, which does the same as yellow lotus, but only resets feat points. It will leave your attribute points (strength, endurance, etc.) alone. Not quite as easy to make though.
Fragments of Power will grant you a bonus 10 feat points every time you use one. They drop from certain bosses and chests. This is probably your best long term solution. If you wanted to, you could just keep hunting them down and learn every feat there is. You also keep the points if you use a yellow lotus potion later on.
There are tons of secrets out there hidden in the world. There are lots of feats for crafting and cooking that can’t be learned from leveling and can only be found
You can’t even make epic weapons and armor until you hit level sixty.
All this is to say that the game doesn’t end at sixty. Your ability to become stronger also doesn’t end there.
Use natural learning potion yellow lotus is bugged right now can erase recipes and what not you have learned running around the map. If you are playing on Exiles map can learn potion out side entrance to Jebelsag dungeon for some feral flesh from his brother. Been playing since day one and it is worth it even if you buy bits and pieces like most of us did who have been playing since the beginning.
@ApplebiteMichelle , first of all welcome to the forum .
I will strongly suggest you not to use the yellow lotus potion for feat points for 2 basic reasons .
You will be lost , feats are so many and it will end up confusing you than help you .
At this time there are several reports for a bug that resets knowledge you shouldn’t loose when using lotus potions for resetting feat points .
So what you should know is that lvl 60 is end game yes but … the game is just starting my friend . So …
Take a wheel of pain , the best thrall you have , 2 truncheons with advanced blunded fitting and head for unnamed city . Place your wheel of pain outside the unnamed city and go farm some relic hunters (fighters) .As soon you’ll get these fighters then you can capture every single thrall of the game and you can kill every single boss (Arena champion is hard and dangerous, avoid this fight on the beginning) .
Give a legendary great sword (or star metal) to your relic hunter , some gruel and a good armor to slay all the unnamed city for fun . From every 3head boss you get fragments of power , except the green dragons (useless fight).
When you collect fragments use them wisely . In the archivist library you get scrolls of knowledge for a fragment , one scroll will teach you the tablet of power . This tablet is your objective , you need 5 fragments to fix it but it gives you 60 feat points , instead of 50 you would get by consuming the 5 fragments .
Watch videos of @Wak4863 to see locations of fragments of power without killing anything , they are a lot , trust me .
Another easy strong thrall is Teimos at the buccaneers bay and he lvls up very fast .
Really good Thralls are the Berserkers too , they are located in the mount of the dead and they spawn with star metal weapons , if however you find a Dalinsia … game over .
I love the volcano Thralls , especially Spinas the marauder , but it is hard still for now .
If you have any other questions feel free to shoot my friend , happy to have you here , welcome once again
