Why does Conan keep lagging and / or crashing

Conan seems to lag often then get stuck and then have the blue error . That and / or when exiting Conan gets stuck in the menu and the saves often dont save or get corrupted.

Not sure why or what to do about that.

We’re waiting for a corrective patch since before Christmas, I suppose it already hit che Pc versions of the game maybe 1 or 2 weeks ago. We’re getting near a full unpatched month, I hope we’ll have news quite soon: the new thrall system was funny and I enjoyed even the “new momentum” but amongst textures cycling on and off, crashes and freezes opening simple inventory, CE became quite un-playable to me, and I’m an offline player… no idea how bad it can be for online players!

Lets see what happen in a (hope) short future.

Not much you can do about it. This game has been buggy and has had performance issues since it’s release. I’ve had it since early access and learned a long time ago not to hold your breath waiting for it to be straightened out. And, of course, with the mounts update, there are new bugs, glitches, and twitches. But the horses are cool.
Makes me wonder why I bothered reinstalling it.

Been playing this game about a year and a half now its always been this way. You eventually learn to live with it.

Iv noticed it happens alot when im near alot of storage boxes or opening a vault full of stuff. Quick answer everyone tells me is to limit the amount of stuff I have… not really the answer im looking for nor should that be an answer to a game crashing. So iv learned to adapt my game play during pvp times so I dont disconnect randomly.

Whatever they did with the Xbox “hotfix” in December made things noticeably worse with regards to hitching and drastic drops in FPS. I never had the issue with outright crashes, but that’s likely because I have an XB1X and the extra memory it has is covering up a multitude of sins (coding-wise).

I feel your pain. Some folks on PC such as myself have had a lot of issues too. Mine doesn’t crash as often as it once had, but still does from time to time. I reinstalled the game after the mounts update only to find that not much had changed and now there’s a handful of new annoying bugs. To top it off, now my gpu runs almost 10 degrees c hotter and the gpu usage has gone up. It’s the same game and I haven’t changed any settings, what did they change to do that?

Can’t say I didn’t expect it, but I was hopeful. It’s pretty obvious to me that the thrall limit didn’t really do much to help performance. I didn’t think it would because I’ve always played on single player or a dedicated server with a handful of people all with moderate sized builds and not many thralls. Same issues. And as you’ve sort of pointed out, it’s always been the hotfixes, updates, and patches that have made any kind of difference, better or worse.

It sounds like you and I are kinda on the same page. As I’ve stated in other threads, I think the game’s issues are deeply embedded within the build itself. The result of putting a demanding game over a game engine that isn’t up to the task. It causes unpredictable anomalous issues. If they could straighten it out, they would have by now.

All i know is that complaining about so serious problems of our beloved game in this forum is correct. We love funcom for this game but we are not funcom, we are gamers. We play and ask from the company to do something about this serious problems of the game. Thank you.
