Why has it taken me 25 minutes to log into my offical server this morning?

I have posted about this before but it is now starting to get beyond the joke.

Example of what happened this morning.
Login - server his high ping - log out
Login - server is showing as ???
i do ipconfig /relase, ipconfig /renew
server now shoing as 90 ping, login,
game stuck on loading screen
logout - log back in - server now showing as 250 ping
login - “unable to login to server due to high ping”
ipconfig release /renew again, login, stuck on loading screen
rinse and repeat…

its just getting beyoond the joke now, please sort these servers out they are just a mess

If the server is down you can see that on Battlemetrics.

Otherwise if it is up, you’re on PC and you see 9999 ping or ??? then direct connect, it’s the only bypass solution for logging in most situations like this.

Though it might be tied in with the infinite loading screen that should have been fixed.

How do I direct connect to an offical server? Sorry never done this before :slight_smile:
I am on PVE Server #1050 EU

Looks like it is currently down Official server #1050 PvE - g-portal.com - BattleMetrics and has been since September.

Copy and paste the query port credentials into the direct connect window after clicking direct connect on the bottom left of the server list. No password is required.

But as long as it is down you can’t connect in any way.

When did you last log in successfully?

Official server 2132is and jas been havign same issue for over a month now… usually around 30-45 png for me…was for almost a year… now its over 100 and most times its in the 200’s… its literally unplayable and its all i can do to get around the map to my stuff to refresh the decay timer… what used t take me 10 minutes now takes over a hour …do to lag.freeze,rubber banding, crashing and reentering…i dont know what Funcom or microsoft has done to these servers but it needs to get fixed please. I play on Xbox1 and its not just me thats having this issue… game crahed on my mate yesterday and when they finally got back in 25 minutes later they where naked and empty… game stripped them of everything… its done the same to me on several occasions as well. Please help @Funcom

sometime in the summer they changed the IP addresses of the servers, I also couldn’t connect until I manually searched for the server again on the advice of the forum here and connected
the bad thing is that battlemetrics shows the old IP so I can no longer copy it there and use direct connect in case of problems

edit i check both servers - 1050 and 1051(mine) , both Battlemetrics show as “dead” - they still use old IP

Good point, I forgot about that!

I noticed a few I’ve direct connected to in the past have had this happen.

Not sure how it is updated in places like BattleMetrics, might explain why OPs server shows as down.

I guess someone would have to contact them but at the moment they are not a reliable source of information about the state of the servers

maybe for some if it shows days/hours but if it shows 1000+ hours with an outage in June then it’s an old IP
