It’s just bizzare given that some people are willing to buy access to TSW but are unable to. Has there been any explanation as to why they don’t sell keys anymore?
TSW keys are no longer purchasable from official sources because the game was relaunched as Secret World Legends (SWL). The only way you can acquire an unused TSW CD key now is by finding an unopened copy or buying from a website that still has digital stock, which is not advised and won’t necessarily get you the key. Even then, all TSW accounts created after the relaunch in 2017 are ineligible for linkage to a SWL account.
TSW servers are kept up as courtesy for legacy players. For example, Legacy players who have yet to use their Vanity Transfer are able to finalize their cosmetics on TSW if they so choose before initiating the cosmetics Vanity Transfer for SWL.
Secret World Legends is the current version of the game and is very much worth checking out!

please tell me why I can’t dress my NPCs, I manage to put gloves and shoes on some and not others and impossible to put on the rest **helmet * leg warmers and breastplate * even take them in the Safes are complicated, what’s the problem?
Assuming that you mean PCs instead of NPCs, since the latter can’t be dressed by players (or you have the wrong forum… certainly the wrong thread).
If you’re talking about equipping clothing for your player characters in Secret World Legends (or The Secret World legacy), the two most common problems are either that you have a uniform equipped, which overrides most other clothing slots, or your inventory is full, which would prevent you from swapping clothing items.

TSW still has microtransactions and it’s just odd that buying access to the game is were the line is drawn since, like I said in my OP, some people would like to play it and are willing to spend money in spite of f2p alternative existing.
Is it odd, though? TSW is primarily being kept running for the benefit of players who were around before the relaunch. That you can still get unused keys and register for new accounts is more of an unintended side effect. New game sales were discontinued seven years ago.

While TSW keys are no longer sold officially, they are still sold by 3rd parties, someone from reddit bought a key just days ago from ebay.

Like I said, microtransactions are still there but with the exception of buying access to it. That’s another thing, you’re not technically buying a game, just an access to it. And like I said in my OG post, there are people willing to pay so why not let them? Why not give the choice? The game is running, people spend money on it but some are gatekept from it completely. That’s my poimt, It can’t hurt to generate a bunch of new keys, can it?
One can still buy the DLC in TSW if they want to support like that. One can buy aurum in SWL if they want to support like that; especially if one doesn’t need the aurum for cosmetics and uses it to feed the exchange instead.
Look at Adobe as another example of what we have here:
You can still buy keys to their single user software and they will honor it as long as they have servers for you to download them from. You just gotta get the keys from 3rd party sites. It’s not a cruelly unique circumstance, and access can be obtained by those that want it.
