Wish List compass replaces Journey on screen

A compass would be handy, but it isn’t a new idea. Since we don’t have one by now, I’m guessing Funcom doesn’t want to implement them for some reason.
If you don’t like the Journey steps in the corner, you can disable them in your settings.
Maybe because your compass was taken away from you when they stripped you naked and nailed you to a cross in the middle of a desert?

Even if our compasses were stolen, we should be able to make our own theoretically. We would only need a naturally magnetized piece of magnetite, which we should be able to find in the large quantities of iron ore throughout the exiled lands.
I think it would be reasonable to be able to construct a fancy compass with ironstone, gold bar, and glass. Maybe Black Hand could even drop them as loot occasionally.
We already have a map so a compass would be good too. Less cluttered UI is a better UI.
