Game mode: Single-player Type of issue: Bug Server type : PvE Region: North America
Workstations sometimes need to manually restarted between gaming sessions (log out; later log back in). Some continue progress when logged out, but some need manual restart to continue progress.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Start some work stations to craft items: shaped wood, iron reinforcements, furnace smelting ingots, tannery making leather, wheel of pain breaking thralls, fire cauldron making potions, and so forth.
Log out; exit game. (desktop)
Log back into game.
See which workstations are picking up where they left off and which ones need to ‘told’ to continue.
The crafting stations that stop and need to be manually restarted seem to be ones that use fuel, ie. furnace, firebowl cauldron and wheel of pain. I haven’t encountered this with cooking stations or tanners, though - possibly because I don’t usually load them with so much stuff that they don’t manage to finish before I log out.
I’ve never seen a blacksmith stop making reinforcements or a carpenter stop making shaped wood.
I have noticed Wheel of Pain won’t automatically switch from gruel to meat upon running out of gruel, if meat is available the Wheel of Pain will stop until you manually activate it. Also, upon server restart these the same thing happens, it just stops and does not automatically restart. Could be intended, maybe not. Dunno.
The not switching fuels automatically is not a bug, but intended.
But as for the others, yeah, sucks to log in and see everything stopped at server restart. But have noticed sometimes it “plays” catch up and speed crafts everything.
