So a kid in game is using one of those method that your build a way up and dropping the boss by destroying the foundations.
Question now is, is that exploiting or not?
bcoz i argue against him using it but he says its not an exploit. Can any official game related worker confirm this so i can slap that kid a kick.
Well, its in a grey area but I wouldn’t go that far and call it an exploit. It was once possible to kill world bosses with palisade fairly easy but is was fixed by Funcome quickly. There still is an even easier way to kill at least one world boss/dragon.
Well if he making the boss land in his base its a problem, PVE-C are not suposed to be able to atack bases.

The way i look at things in conan for techniques as follows:
Cheesy–Using a mechanic to make the game super easy. I would put the boss drop this. Not illegal, not hurting anyone really. Immersive breaking, sorta. Taking the challenge out of boss rights, definately.
Exploit–Taking a known flaw and using it gain and advantage that affect others or the server negatively. This one is hard to categorize. It isn’t always cheating or breaking the game, but it is a little more than cheesing. Usually it requires twisting a mechanic by doing certain things. Looking thru walls is exploiting. Can’t explain how, but possible with enough effort. Allows you to view the blue prints so to speak. OR better yet, land claiming with vaults and altars… The HP to resource allows one to protect their building, but also effects the server with lag and just overall ugliness of the aesthetics. Exploiting is sometimes something that happens on accident, and the player doesn’t really think about the effects.
Cheating–Under meshing is by far the most used version. Lag switches, hacking, etc… Blatant rules violations that if proven, get you banned.
You can’t make the boss land in someone else’s base by building and then dismantling, because you can’t build over someone else’s territory.
Also, the bosses can’t damage bases either.
Yes well i have not tested out what mobs and so that can damage building (outside a purge) in pve-c but have my theorys.
And yes if they after all manage to get it inside anyway…
I have. World bosses can’t damage buildings outside a Purge on PVE and PVE-C servers.
Let me point out the original post:
You cannot build inside someone else’s territory. Therefore you cannot build a scaffold that will drop a boss inside someone else’s base.
Had a thought I wanted to try.
That spear bug that catapults you upwards, but doneusing a large model like a boss or elephant.
