World Feels too Static

I’ve been playing many hours now with a friend on our personal server and we’ve enjoyed the game for the most part. We’ve dealt with bugs, bad thrall behavior, and even fatalities that don’t trigger correctly (they work perfectly on single player). The one thing we always discuss though is how much better this game would be with npcs and animals that weren’t so static. I’m sure most of you know what I mean. Anywhere you go, the NPCs are in the same spot, doing the same thing, even in the rain, nightfall, etc. We can’t we run into wandering exiles, single or in groups, just trying to survive in the wilds or like a raiding party. How about actually seeing NPCs out fishing, hunting animals, etc. They don’t all have to be aggressive either. It would be nice to see crocodiles swimming the river, barracuda or pirahna swimming around. In Ark, those aggressive fish made me think twice about crossing a river. There’s a lot of games nowadays that make you feel like your in a living world (Skyrim, CyberPunk, X4, and Red Dead series) Even MMOs like GW2,BDO, and ESO have active worlds. Of course I know they are not survival games. We’re living here in the exiles lands. Of course I could ramble on about how I hate having to build a rat maze to do purges with the predictable AI but I’ll leave that for another day. I’m sure this late in the game Funcom isn’t going to do much to the NPCs to liven the world so maybe you all can help me find a mod that does so. Does Savage Wilds mod do a better job? Any help or insight would be great. I just want to feel like I live in the Hyborian Age.
