That’s not leading your team though. That’s sympathizing with your team. Leading is navigating through the tough truths that you are dealing with as a clan and creating/encouraging solutions that last while making it enjoyable for everyone because this is a game and that’s the basic point of it…having fun. That is leading. Sometimes it is to move to a different server. Others is to come up with different strategies but the over all point is remaining positive and having fun.
A carrot is not what I want. Funcom’s trimming would cost me over one hundred hours just to reclaim one of my bases. Lost and never coming back perhaps are the 1 in 100 trained fighter thralls that got 17,000 HP’s and Brute or something like it. All the stuff I won’t be able to carry. Then there are the 5 lesser bases, some of which will be land claimed, another 200 hours.
No if you want me to keep playing, give me something back. Some special fighter thralls with awesome perks already granted. I just got a Tiemos Beastmaster with Redeemed, Touched by the gods, and Brute. 17,000 HP’s, brutal with Adja’s Bane. Now he is gone. Or will be. It took me about 30 tries, 40 actually, to get this Tiemos. Usually he gets Warden and no HP perks or something. Anyway, definitely owed more than a carrot.
Then I have to say I visited this new server my junk is being dumped on and there are fewer players and fewer bases and the bases are not as old, none are large. So I am going to a server with 4-5 players and coming from a server with 7 or 8 and 4 Clans currently (or until they found out the server was being trimmed anyway). Everyone was gone most of the time in December-January for holidays so maybe that was why it got trimmed to be merged with an even smaller server? One base of another player on my old server covered the hill in between Sepermeru and the Unamed City. Was that offensively large? It’s certainly not uncommon to see a base like that.
Anyway, it’s the opposite of the selection process we were told about so I am puzzled.

We can only hope that the update will fix the horrid thrall training perk process to something not governed in RNG or the perks be nerfed to it won’t really matter either way.
No servers being wiped was a lie.
This is a indirect and direct server wipe for many, many, servers.
Something can not be moved over and somethings will have taken players many hours to build and most were and are not memorized so recreation will not be possible.
The RNG of thralls was not immersing it was/is a casino as the perks add nothing really fun or special just most times adds or subtracts stats only. Who at Funcom thought that was or ever will be fun?
I guess if you are not a modder, someone who loves mods, or someone who wants a server that could just plain go up in smoke or an admin turn jerk you don’t matter. Hey alteast we get to retain the server going up in smoke while still on officials though, so yeah yay.
Guess we who play on official get to wait till the next lie and the next round of server purges till the game gets where it was heading with lack of official balance straight to private server hands.
Personally, I’d prefer some parsnip rather than carrot.

With current issues with the AI, I see this being horrible. We are lucky when the thrall detects an enemy and properly responds to the enemy and engages in an attack. Put a pick in its hands; now the thrall has to register every rock node as an “enemy” and properly “attack” = pick at the rocks. I see this failing in implementation first, and second, I don’t want passive farming.
We already had this, we used to be able to place tons of fish traps in water and even inside the large well and the traps would fill up overnight. This was removed to balance the changes in the crafting that came with the new crafting stations. Fun fact, even though fish traps no longer passively farm fish and must be filled with bait to work, people still spam massive fish farms on PvE and leave them up permanently as if they are collecting fish offline when they aren’t. So, having had had passive fishing in the past, I don’t want it back. We don’t need fish for Ichor and oil anymore, there are far better ways to get those materials than from fish. For example, a t3 and t4 Alcemsit can craft Oil from bark and Ichor. Ichor can be obtained in reasonable quantities by harvesting spiders from the 2 spider vaults on Siptah and spider caves from EL. As for food, Honeybread changed my life, lasts hours, and is easy to make.

Yup, it’s a strange idea - I’m 1,000% against it. But other games do implement it. The difference is that the the thrall goes out, disappears from sight, and “magically” comes back with about 0.0001% of what the player would be able to farm, 8 to 12 hours later. So if like that then they wouldn’t need to implement anything other than a random number of “stuff” to put in the thrall’s inventory.
But no matter how it’s done, I think it’s an uber-lame idea!
But what’s the difference? That is passive fishing! Set the traps, go harvest some needed grass, throw the extra bugs in the fish traps, come back the next day and they’re full. Seems pretty passive to me.

Did you honestly think all the servers would be up and running in 2030? Even 2025? Of course not. Wipes of servers are different than shutting them down. What they mean, (and you know it) is that regular wipes to refresh them won’t happen. THIS is why the rules are vague, btw. People willfully twisting what is written to suit their need to complain.

the only things i want is 24/7 raid times with offline protection and official servers with far better performance.
Nerfing and/or removing game play content to accommodate servers that can’t handle 30 players was an awful idea.

It does not have to be as you say, when you put a tool you select the resource to collect, in the same way as you tell the slave to attack and the slave goes to work, as soon as it finishes chopping it returns to a passive state. the slave would only function to work when he follows you and you hit him with a tool.
who fishes them now? I would say that instead of fixing it, they killed it, another thing on the list of useless things in the game.

Yet you can’t do that as things on the target server are most likely in the same locations and you’d have a massive mess on your hands. Its also one thing to move over a database from one server to the other versus merging two databases together in a server pot pie. But you don’t care about that because I am responding to your very words which is somehow derailing. Saying its kneejerk to object to someone saying “FC lied” is pretty rich.
And if by this you mean something like pippi bluboard, yeah you can already do it; pick up your base, transfer over with it in your pockets and rebuild it at a suitable location.
