Remastering Age of Conan with better graphics and engine sounds like a cool idea but it will need some new content for people to be interested in a 13 year old MMRPG. Also, probably needs some re-thinking of pvp zones and crafting system. Maybe tweak the combat system with newer ideas to make it a bit more interactive.
Making an MMO with a mix of Conan Exiles building features may make the game more interesting.
Although, I am not sure Funcom is interested in doing another MMORPG.
I enjoyed AoC and its expansions for a few years. Good memories.

Yes but not the far to close WoW close as it ended up in, more in the ides that they had in the start of the making. And ad what they have learnf from CE and coming Dune to make a new up to date MMO whit combat as CE and open world payer/clan houses
Same here. It’s what kept me away from continuing my subscription. I am still pissed at the way they completely destroyed the Ranger class (used to be my favorite before they “rebalanced” it).
I was with you until “tweak the combat system with newer ideas”. IMO, even as old as it is, the combat system is still one that they got right, so I’d rather they keep their hands off that. The crafting system was always kinda crappy though, so that could definitely use a complete overhaul. New content would help, but even just a graphical update would be enough to attract people, new or returning.
Before they do any of that though, they would have to fix the payment system. It’s always been a little finicky as I recall, and people have been having issues with it lately that make the whole process a big turn off to the game.
I never really played Ranger. I was, am, and will always be a HoX man.
HoX and Necromancer are hands down my favorites. Though I’m honestly not entirely sure which I like more.
I play ESO, and the fact they made blocking, bash, and dodge roll part of the system where its a bit more interactive was a plus for tanking. I was a Raid/PvP Tank in AoC. Overall the game combat system was great, but I think instead of only switching combat systems (defensive to offensive) in a raid fight, other features could be implemented as well. I hardly ever used block in AoC, although did dodge/jump back at times during raids. Otherwise, besides kite fights, it was a static tank and spank fight, when you did not have to move.
Granted AoC raids were more complicated, challenging and fun than ESO raids on the most part, due to fight mechanics, need for multiple tanks, agro hate levels, lack of rezzes, etc.
Added note, I am not a ESO perma block tank. Never liked that concept either, reminded me of AoC switching to defensive mode.
