That’s not true. Consumer boycotts have moved a lot, possibly even more than sanctions by nation states. If your customer’s don’t buy your stuff or even just threaten not to buy your stuff, that’s something that can move, change or destroy a company.
One can argue if the initiative that drafted the letter will manage to persuade the company that they represent a significant part of the customer base. But there’s a good chance for that, so why not let them try it?

I do understand that most of the times by shouting on a mountain all you get back is your echo. Because this is what Funcom have become right now with the sales of their new trinket.
So maybe in an addition we may have to remind our precious company that our feedback through the years has helped drastically Dune sale success.
We are a strong and dedicated link in their business chain so it will be very appreciated if they continue support this part that brought them to where they are right now.
Also i believe that our love and dedication to this game was the reason many of us decided to “keep the lights on”. So we continued funding the game in an uneven way that it use to be. A great financial branch of Conan exiles black lotus bazzar, maybe even the trunk went to Dune, it’s obvious now. As it is obvious why bp stopped, because devs could no longer work for this game, they all methodically passed to Dune awakening.
We still fund.
We still play.
We still give our feedback wholeheartedly.

What do you think about putting something in there that indicates players might be hesitent to purchase future Funcom games like Dune due to their experience with Conan Exiles but that could be addressed with continued commitment to their current titles?
Too much on the nose. Sounds like a direct threat and I don’t think you get to be a CEO* by letting “the plebs” threaten you.
However, there are more subtle ways to communicate the same idea 
* While it’s true that anyone can form a company and call themselves a “CEO”, that’s not who I’m talking about.

After battling Cimmerians in the Mounds of the Dead, and finally beating the Arena Champion (she is one tough SOB), cancer in real life is now my foe and unfortunately can’t be fixed by an Aloe potion.
I will play this game till my last breath.

they know this … already i am a clear example, but the numbers ofplayers that toook this route (such as myself) it probably very small… so they dont care…
i know funcom hates PR nightmares, they have been consistently reactive , never proactive. the biggest their nightmare the most likely they will get involved to do damage control (as has always has been) and ytou can see that happening in dune exactly as it happened on CE years ago.
a clear example of them trying to avoid CE to damage dune is how they set up., no forums, and the communication on discord is stricly controlled, to avoid the CE issues to being showed on their discord.
they wanted to keep the narrative under control, and they were successfull at it . they even went lenghts to use copyright to try control Content creaters such as @Wak4863 and @Firespark81 . so yeah…

Bought the game in EA and fell in love with it.
Around 8k hours between everything.
This game brought me some incredible friendships, taught me lessons about teamwork and grace. The best building system, the most engaging PVP I’ve ever had and was by me during tough times.

The only thing I will say is that CEA was formed in November 2024. It’s the beginning of August 2025.
still looooonng time , wayyy tooo long for producing a letter. right now there is no momentum , this should have happnened short after the producer letter to have some for of an effect.
the chances of this having any effect now that dune is launched and with good sales numbers is close to zero, (at least it looks like it under my perspective) .
there is a bit of hope , but as of now this initiative for me does looks quite infertile…
been a while without a fix of any kind… for CE, now look how many has happened to Dune.. (That telss people something)
edit, apparently there might be a fix coming. i guess we will wait a few days and see whats comming, lets hope for meaningful fixes.

First of all, that’s sad to hear… i wish you all the best! All the grit and stamina needed to fight this foe! Don’t give up man, all of us believe in you!
And yes, the time to fight for CE is exactly now that Dune falls victim to FC’s hubris, maybe now they realize they can’t continue like this.
Whatever happens, if FC finally crashes and burns or if they will ressurect their brain cells… you gotta be with us!

FYI AndyB has announced in the Modding Discord that there’s a new mod devkit version being released tomorrow which means the letter will need reworking.
The mod devkit precedes updates and hotfixes. It should be expected that we’ll see one in about a week or so.
