Greetings!
I have a Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker (A. K. A. Ragnar), a fighter, with pretty good agility points and perks.
I want to keep him that way.
Which weapon should he useâť“
Two-handed sword. Attributes aside, it’s easier to get Strength damage bonuses from e.g. food and other stuff.
And agility weapons are kinda wonky on thralls anyway. They don’t know how to wield shortswords and katanas efficiently, and daggers have hitbox issues, as well as the thrall’s tendency to love backflipping too much.
My RHTS fighters Juffure the Adder and Lefevre the Viper are beasts with a simple and cost-effective dragonbone two-handed sword.
Thank you
!
I was hoping for some great agility weapon I didn’t know yet
.
I always thought that spears were agility based.
I wanted that to be true, too.
Your followers can use a katana, but apparently they think it’s a two-handed sword so they use suboptimal combos. You could try it out is a reasonably safe environment where an underperforming thrall won’t immediately lead to your or his demise, and see if the performance is acceptable to you.
Pre-3.0 I had a katana-wielding follower with me at the Pools of the Grey Ones and she did just fine. But post 3.0 I’ve discovered that there’s a greater need to optimize thralls because they don’t hit as hard as they used to (unless you play an Authority build and wear something like the Skelos Master), nor do they survive as well as they used to.
Boss chests seem to be full of Blades of the Adventurer these days, or at least my RNG appears to think I need lots of them, so I’ve had spares to give to random Berserkers-in-training.
