Server restarts doubled up (not exactly a bug but can’t report this issue in Zendesk so…)
Bug Reproduction:
Log in 0500 hours, server restarts 0510 hours, finally log in again and get another server restart message and kicked out again about 0525 hours
This is happening on Playstation also. For quite some time.
This is intended and happens on all servers and all platforms.
Thanks Azaroth, do you know why it’s intended? A single daily restart I can understand, but what purpose does it serve to have two within 10-15 minutes of each other?
To me it’s always looked like just sloppy server management that I know is a few seconds to fix on G-Portal servers. So I’d be interested to hear what the real reason for this is and what purpose it really serves.
because when they apply a ban to someone, it sometime need 2 servers restart to apply in the system id, so they doubled the server restart something like 2 years ago to have ban apply quicker.
Ah ok, most of my hours were on private servers till fairly recently so I missed that change. Thanks for making sense of it.
