A bug appeared in decay time!

Bug Description:

decay time to be refreshed!! Otherwise, only the building’s decay time will be refreshed, while the decay time of the chests and workbenches will not be updated!

Bug Reproduction:

The BUG was not caused by me! I used a repair hammer to observe the building, workbench, and chests, and I found that their decay times are completely different. Even the decay times of two chests are completely different! Even though they are in the same building!

Watch closely! The decay timer of buildings will automatically refresh, but the chest’s timer will not refresh. You must manually open the chest for its decay timer to be refreshed!

Yep… We’re also having this problem on official server #1980… Our structures does reset its decay time but not any placeables, decoration or chests… I imagine it has something with: “Reduced the time needed to process placeables for replication, lowering their server performance cost.” stated in the patch notes…

Confirmed and SEVERE.
Placables don’t reset anymore if you don’t touch them one by one!!!

@Dana seems this is critical to share with the team before “placeable apocalypse” for people that don’t notice

At least the decay on placeables is visible, but what about thralls ?

Confirmed here..klinda. (1555) Found out that logging in and back out will reset the entire structure and placeables..but placeables don’t auto reset on their own consistently while the player is logged in. Again, logging in and back out reset the placeables correctly.

Exactly , you can log out and back in at any structure to refresh all timmers of objects in range (not sure if it works if things are too far away but still from the same structure like at the 20th floor ect… ) , but if you are teleporting to another base you need to interact with : doors , gates , elevators (pictish) and chests to refresh them but for some reason vaults can only be refreshed if you log out and back in again , interacting with them doesn’t refresh their timmer …

This issue is bigger than just chests and benches. Transpatory stone and editable signs failing to update as well.

Seems the only thing updating is building blocks.

I haven’t found anything that updates :confused:

No way to check thrall timers but I bet its broken too.

Yeah it is a mess… reset doesn’t work on hearths (aka cooking stations) and refrigerators. And tbh i’m done with refreshing every single chest and bench and door and summoning stone, sacrifice stone etc and every official server i am on has its own ruleset what is going to refresh normally and what’s not. Rants end.

We are aware of this issue and currently working on a hotfix that should have this issue resolved. Thank you for your patience.
