Never really doubted your motives. If I were that passionate I’d probably be still playing the game. I just don’t like when paying costumers aren’t treated well. Video game or real life I’ll speak up either way. From everything I’ve seen over the years with this company that is how I feel.
Also I have seen the vids on the exploiting. That should give a very easy to recognize pattern on the Events Log to target. If you believe this is going on in your server, report them using Zen Desk that you suspect the exploit being done by these folks and request an inquiry on their event logs to confirm and then enforce the ToS if found guilty.

Play correctly I feel has no meaning anymore on official severs. The line in the sand has been washed away

That shouldn’t have any bearing on how you, personally, play. I will say that there are many times your play style does change how others play as well. The biggest thing you need to ask is why play style do you want to exhibit others to copy.
THIS! These are the folks I feel for the most. The older consoles that can’t handle the game anymore. I don’t even know where this is going as far as that is concerned since IMHO it is becoming increasingly obvious that the older gen consoles will not be able to play in the near future. So how does that work?

I’m not going to bail dude. And you need to at least respect me for pushing Funcom as much as I can while I can. Because like I said at some point there will even be a point people like me can’t play anymore or justify it any longer. So why shouldn’t I try as hard as I can, give my best effort, to call for change BEFORE that happens. I won’t sit.
And that goes back to my point. There’s a huge difference between me and you. It’s not that I come from a speak up and make a fuss standpoint, and your in the just-chalk-it-up and walk away corner. That’s already established, does NOT need to be reevaluated.
The difference is that people like you try to put yourselves on those on the other corner, to comment or diminish their stance, to armchair preach on them, when we don’t need you. We don’t need your concern about us being “miserable”. We don’t need your advice that it’s better to walk away.

THAT is factually, behaviorally, and psychologically one of the trademarks of white knighting. Which is why I bashed you so hard. White knights come into conversations that don’t affect them, into opinions and stances that don’t affect them, and try to put their downplaying comments onto others.

Funcom has sadly already stated to just get new gen hardware and testing/performance on older models going forward is virtually not factored
As pissed as I am about that there’s actually far greater issues. In a strange sense I begrudgingly understand it’s hard to maintain a game on decade old hardware
Why are you acting surprised by this comment. There’s a post about it everyday with zero feedback… spells will crash newer gens as well.
Same…I can’t fault FC for maintaining and improving (or trying to 
) but that comes at the cost of some folks that don’t have the latest and greatest gear. We are entering into really uncharted waters as far as console gaming goes as the original concept of games on older consoles are maintained to play on the consoles they are designed for is going away and games are morphing into their own beasts.

I gave up on PVP during the previous bomb exploit. I spent a gruelling 5 hours defending my base, from someone who jumped onto server, bombed me incessantly (dupe) during raid window, then spent next several hours loading my character for upload, and de-spawning items. I found out raiding char transferred the next day, but with an active bomb dupe, I couldn’t as a solo defend what I had.
Game play changes all the time, I didn’t know about the bomb dupe, (but suspected) until the next day, but I have appreciated the opinions you guys are sharing here. It helps me come to terms with my own frustrations, past and present. Thanks guys.

This isn’t big brother little brother it’s an online pvp survival game. This means nothing even if you want to act noble about it.
Ty I’ve eviscerated threads like this of white knighters before, they are absolutely enablers no matter how desperately they claim they aren’t, no matter how well they use their always-too-predictable counter arguments and attempts to bamboozle readers with smooth talk and smoke and mirrors.
I have a background in psychology and have a personal fascination with white knight psychology and all it’s facets, specifically the fact it plays out so perfectly on each person that it’s like they’re all bots programmed with a white knight script. I can literally read some white knight paragraphs and line for like be like “uhuh there’s that one… there’s that one… predicted that one…”
I am convinced it’s actually a sort of archetype that people are born with because they all sound like f@#$ing bots.

and that excuses what precisely? Where is that line between good sportsmanship vs bad? Bomb duping? Chain Foundations? undermeshing? Fly bases? All allowed in the coding of the game but that doesn’t make them right. At the end of the day, all you got is your own self identity. Regardless of how you feel, that is expressed in how you play any game or interact with anyone. You choose who you are.
He wasn’t saying those things are good, your comment was just extremely vague
Nobody disagrees those things should be fixed and banned, which they still haven’t been in many cases

Usually when people throw “white knight” at me, it’s because they’re saying I’m defending Funcom. This is the first time I’ve been called a white knight for this specific reason you’re using.
And you know what? You might be right. You didn’t ask me to try to help you, and how this game makes you feel doesn’t really affect me. For what it’s worth, I honestly didn’t do it with bad intentions. Like I said, from where I stand, it really looks like people being stuck in an abusive relationship, clinging to the hope that things will change.
