There is already a mod in PC like Pipi and Tot that permits you to type to players who are in zone, local or whispers. This doesn’t exist in console. Conan Exiles has a large community of RPers , this does not change in Xbox. We rely heavily in discord to RP but in a way that makes our interactions less organic and with more space for meta-gaming. It be amazing if Funcom could add a text chat for people in console or at least have the option to put one up in private servers. As well a way to make Npcs repawn like they have in mods like Pipi and Tot. Now I know being in console is very limiting because of the nature of the memory and capacity that this same one can take compared to a PC but it be nice to at least have a way to type and communicate in game to each other. ( Voice chat is not always reliable it works when it wants)

Actually, right now more than ever I could use one. I’m on PlayStation. There’s a newer clan on my server that’s blocked off one of my outposts and everyone in their clan has privacy preferences turn on so I can’t message them, send them friend requests (to message), etc. I’ve resorted to putting up signs in front of a couple of their bases and letting them know. The signs have been there for a few days and to no avail. A world chat box or something might make it easier to message them or something. Ugh… it’s super frustrating, because now I’m either gonna have to report them (which could lead to an accidental ban of my clan for being too close), or waiting them out and hoping they quit the game. Honestly, I don’t care they built there, but they could have at least left a path open to get to my base.
Because it is easy for cheaters to exploit on console. I understand if you bought the server, but then there is the awkward delay to type something out on the normal controller. Easier to use voice at that point, but I keep that unplugged too.
How does having a game chat benefit cheaters on console? It’s been on PC since day one pretty much and they’re known for exploits and cheating far more than anyone on console. CE is one of the few online games that DOESN’T have a game chat, and quite frankly, it’s pretty pathetic really… especially when you got people like the ones I’m dealing with that insist on playing on a public server and blocking contact with everyone who plays on that server… meaning you can’t even interact with them when they’re ■■■■■■■■ up said server experience. Guess we’re just gonna have to report them rather than doing the only decent thing and try to talk it out.

I’m not excluding it. I have a list (chat box included) and most of it can be achieved on PC and console. Overall, it doesn’t look fun, so I’m not doing anything with it.
