About funcom announcing that it will make change in response to requests

You know that moment you stop and think, now I was proud of this company, I ALWAYS IMAGINATED that you would do that, but to be sure and SEE HAPPENING is amazing.

The additions to the game were amazing, and it really made it a lot more fun and filled with things to do, but in fact some additions deserve improvements, improvements that everyone has talked about at length.

1- HORSE MOVEMENT - the idea of shooting with the horse’s top bow seemed incredible, BUT the big problem is that you have made navigating, moving, riding the horse so difficult and laborious that it is not even worth riding the horse. walk with it and still shoot from it, you need 10 fingers to do that.
Eliminate the option to use the bow on the horse and let the horse move SIMPLE equal to the NPC is very intuitive as you are walking with your character, climbing on the horse and CONTINUE riding the same way, another option would be to shoot the bow where the mouser " points out “the mouser would be the moving guide and aim automatically, it is” simpler "but the idea of the horse is to be a horse, and to be nice, simple and easy to run with it wherever you want to go, not an archer.

2 - HORSE IS NOT A SLAVE - None of us understand Funcom’s proposal to make the horse a slave and not a means of locomotion, other than shooting with the horse’s top bow, here we see no opening for it to be worthwhile, the horse doesn’t fight, the horse gets in the way of the fight, the horse DIES while you’re fighting and it still gets in the way of fighting, it’s horrible, absolutely impractical to fight a horse.
The horses in the game should be like the famous Rockstar game, a locomotion, he doesn’t fight, he doesn’t follow you, unless you open his menu and have leh follow, the horse should stand where you left him to go. fight, not get in the fight and DIE! and return home on foot and mourning the death of your 23rd horse in 1 week.

3 - I DO NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT MY WARRIOR SLAVE - There was a conflict of interest in adding the horse and leveling levels, at the same time you added the “obligation” to level our slaves and “forbade” us to go out with the slaves. To up them, if you go out with a horse, have to choose between going out with a horse and a warrior slave, it’s a very ridiculous choice and always 100% of the time 100% of people will choose to go out with the warrior slave.
It is extremely punishing to use the horse for all the reasons already mentioned and still not being able to take your scruffy warrior to level it up, I have given myself some funcom options on how to do this, whether the slave is behind you on the horse, or even disappearing when you get off the horse and appearing on your side as you get off the horse, as your warrior will follow you when you ride it doesn’t matter, what matters is that when you get off the horse and go to fight it is there, leveling, fighting and the horse standing where you left and not getting into the fight.

4 - USING THE HORSE ROPE / CHAIN - this is the simplest and least important request, but we all certainly try to pull a horse-mounted slave, that’s kind of logical, I can use guns, torches. … why not a card? if just the most logical to use on the horse is a rope? pulling a slave with a rope would make it much more enjoyable to go around the map looking for T4 slaves without having to wheel the pain everywhere.

I leave here my compliments and congratulations for the conduct of listening to the community and make the game as we want and not as the developer wants, this is certainly the right strategy, after all who should use this product is us, since I am excited to be able to start using my horses already have 5 stopped just waiting for the changes will be amazing!

Have you ever been pulled from a horse while tight with a rope?

I second your entire post. Also make thralls SMARTER so they avoid lava and don’t suicide off elevators. Thanks to developer error, NOT my own, I have had 2 idiot LEVELED UP Eri ravagers wearing GODBREAKER and a crom sword ALL Despawn in the last 2 days to STUPID THRALL AI.

Atleast make thralls NOT despawn in 12 effing minutes so I cannot even retrieve the damn godbreaker once I do notice that idiot Eri has died!

FIX THIS PLEASE IT IS KILLING THE GAME

And yet on the use of other weapons, swords, spears … besides the bow that would only aim “forward” in the position your mouser points guiding with the clear mouser (the mouser would be the aim of the horse’s movement guide) would be The exact same thing happens with the character NPC, if you want to hit with the sword on the right click the mouser’s right button, if you want to hit on the left side click with the left mouser button.
In other words, you would know that to hit a target on top of the horse you would have to pass by his side and hit by pressing the mouser button on the side that he is positioned, it’s very simple, it’s easy, it’s fast, it’s nice to do!

There are some of us who understand it, mostly modders and people who work in software development. Adding horses as pets reduces the implementation complexity and time-to-market for that feature, since it reuses the existing systems as much as possible.

Honest question, because I’m really curious: what led to losing 23 horses in 1 week? Do you dismount to fight? If so, why? I’m trying to understand and I have nothing in my own experience that I can relate to your story.

Is this meant to be hyperbole or are you actually claiming that everyone plays like that? Do you perhaps mean in your clan or on your server?

Because if you don’t, I’m sure that there’s a bunch of people – including me – who will be glad to explain that we go out on our horses and happily kill stuff from our saddles.

It might sound simple, but it’s not. They specifically explained on today’s stream that they tried to do it, but there are technical problems with it. I think they said they’ll be working on it, but I might be wrong about that.

If it helps at all, I go looking for T4 thralls on my horse. I have a Lovetap with a blunt fitting and when I find a T4 NPC, I kill all the surrounding threats, I equip my Lovetap and whack the NPC unconscious. Then I dismount, equip the bindings and run, on foot, to the nearest map room.

Is it what we all want? Definitely not. But at least it allows you to do it “halfway”, so to speak. You can hoof it on your way there, but you have to leg it on your way back

nice reply, I agree but if you are really smart, you will second the issue I personally am at odds with: level 20 thralls jumping to death off an elevator. I can easily avoid the volcano, tho thralls AI should naturally avoid lava for realism… but I CANNOT avoid elevators…

I am always in favor of fixing bugs. If there’s a bug report thread, could you kindly point me to it so I can add my “like” to it?

That’s precisely why I avoid leading thralls both into the volcano and onto elevators. I’m guessing you have a base that can’t be reached by walking? Is that a PVP thing? Sorry if that’s a dumb question, but I don’t play PVP

I have not had the elevator to thrall death lately must take some legacy thralls for a ride

I did not know that now I could take an unconscious slave on the rope by the map, some time I tried and it did not work and never tried !!!

the issue of the horse being a “follower slave” because it is easier to do, not logical, I understand, but it is a very bad easy, doing the “right” horse as a locomotion and not as a slave is so logical and important it would be worth having been done, or doing so !!! It is not a detail we are talking about a very important new mechanics in the game, mechanics that we have been waiting for 3 years, well said that they are working on it so now let’s wait!

As for the suicidal slave boy I can completely understand his PAIN, I would really be devastated if a level 20 slave of mine said that, especially that I’ve killed about 15 to 20 boss with mine and he’s still level 16, that is a big loss

Unfortunately, that’s also buggy. I use it all the time and I’ve never had a problem with it, but there are people who report having thralls disappear while going through a loading screen. It seems to be consistent, though – either you have the problem every time or you don’t have any problems. To be safe, test it with a T1 thrall. For more info, take a look at the bug report thread:

so that’s it, i thought i had changed the rules a long time ago months ago i tried several times and lost about 4 slaves so i never tried again so unfortunately i’m from the least lucky people

Did you try it recently? Maybe it works for you now. Yeah, I know it sounds dumb, but it’s worth checking with a cheap, worthless thrall :man_shrugging:

I will try as soon as I get into the game, thanks for the tip!
