No longer able to drag thralls through loading screens?
EDIT: Other players have reported this isn’t the case for them, although there was at least one other person who reported this issue on the general patch-notes thread.
I experienced it on 1935 Official only, have not attempted on other servers. Experienced it 3x, volcano, wine cellar and maptable.

Persists through logout and login on same computer. Restarted computer same issue. Will attempt on second computer after I get kiddos to sleep.

Attempting this on same toon and server on a different PC did not yield this issue. Presently re-downloading the game on my original computer to see if it’s perhaps a very unique glitch that can be resolved by re-installing the game. Attempted once again on original laptop after being successful on desktop PC and failed once again.

Overnight deleted and reinstalled game. No longer occurring on original PC. I’m chalking this one up to an extremely rare update glitch that can be resolved through reinstalling the game.
There’s no way that’s intended if reproducible. It would equate to, “you are no longer allowed to bring thralls with you into dungeons” and that world definitely be in the patch notes.
This patch was “well tested” So well tested, that FC didnt even want to put it on testlive
You really wonder how this testers are playing the game… Probably with admin panel spawning everything into a desert, then attacking/rolling away from the air!!

I dont know which bug is even worse… 40% lockdown bug, controllers cannot scroll in work-benches or this one
Positive thing: This bug wasnt found at testlive (the others 2 were and were als reported). Lets hope the hotfix will come out soon…
Except that the OP wasn’t talking about followers. They said “No longer able to drag thralls”, which mean they’re talking about ones they’ve KO’d and are dragging back to their wheel.
I just dragged a thrall through a map room less than an hour ago, for me it worked just like before update, might be a glitch you experienced, have you tried more than once?
I can confirm that dragging a thrall through a map room teleport works fine. I’ve never tried doing it through a different loading screen, such as through the Passage, the Floe or out of a dungeon.
I was discussing no longer being able to drag non-converted knocked out NPCs through loading screens. This was an original aspect of the game about a year ago, but in recent months you were able to knock NPCs out and drag back through a dungeon or area requiring a loading screen (such as the volcano, wine cellar or map table).
Could you clarify what you mean by “doesn’t work”? I’ve just tried it once more and again it worked. I play on an official PVE server and here are the screenshots:
Notice that after the teleport, the bindings stretch out “to infinity and beyond” and you can’t see the NPC you’re dragging, but it ends up on your wheel.
This is the way it worked for me since they made it possible to teleport while dragging and it hasn’t changed over the course of this update.
Is this what you’re seeing too? Or does going through the loading screen actually cause you to unequip the bindings and release the NPC?
After transitioning through the loading screen, the bindings were held, but not engaged, dragging or stretched. I’m aware of the usual boomerang effect to bring a thrall to you when warping, this was not that.
I attempted the same thing on the same server and character from another PC, and no longer had the issue. I’m going to wipe the game from my laptop and see if I no longer reproduce the issue.
We’ll send note to our team to see if this is an issue they can reproduce on their end.

Hmm I can actually confirm your problem with dragging thrall through loading screen in vulcano.
I did several test and while I could drag thralls through most loading screens in vulcano, there was one place where I lost the thrall in all attempts and that is when going through the loading screen which exits in Dragonmouth, all attempts failed there at the very first loading screen, I lost the thrall every time, hopefully someone else can clarify if this exit is indeed bugged
I’m glad that it is rare enough that it’s being chalked up by some people to not understanding the drag mechanics through load screens, but it’s happening enough that fortunately some people captured it on video. I no longer suffer with this following my reinstallation, so hopefully that works for others as well.
Please understand that a number of people have been very put off by how Funcom just blew threw the testing phase of this update and immediately released it to Live, without even fixing the glaring bugs. People here have a right to be upset. Honestly, Funcom should have a senior executive write an apology letter to all the CE players AND outline the steps they will take to assure us of a better commitment to quality in the future.
The way this release was handled was not what we expect from quality game developer. It feels like we are in an Early Access program right now. So the passive aggressive behavior is well earned and I’m surprised there isn’t a whole lot more of it.
I’m very much a fan of the game and I love how responsive you and the others are here on the forums, but you are going to get some angry players when your company slaps unfinished product together to meet DLC deadlines.
Your CEO works for us. We pay his paycheck. I’d like to know what his plan is to keep earning that paycheck.
