i am not sure if you are intentionally neglecting to mention all the research materials that also went into making that but it should still be counted as part of the cost as you can’t even touch it without having done nearly 20 research. Its exceptionally expensive to reach.
Poison infused daggers took as many as 50 rngs in the library, they were still op, just not as much
What are those gear exactly? I’ve never seen leggings that gives you +5 STR.
They need call wardrobe to buff up the villainy. This set looks kind of clownish.
looks better without the hat xD
If I had to add the costs for EVERYTHING that goes into learning and making both sets of armor this list would be a hell of a lot longer.
Add a Garrison Armorer’s Bench to the cost of making the meta gear which can’t be made until lvl 55-60. Having to run Warmaker’s for the Bulk Plating recipe. Black Keep for Silent Legion. How much iron, brimstone, tar, hide, gold dust, silver dust, and ichor you need for the t3 stations. etc. etc.
To keep things as short and sweet as possible to compare the two sets of armor I chose to focus solely on the materials for the sets themselves and ignore the time and resources needed to get to where you can make them for a straight 1 to 1 comparison.
Whether that’s a fair comparison or not… people are free to disagree.
Assassin’s Leggings. One of the gearsets from the Blood and Sand DLC. Needs to be made with a t4 armorer for the +5 or else it’ll just be +2 or +3.
Not me! Because the tassels don’t flap in the wind! No way man! I’m out!
Oops… One of those self-revealing slips of the keyboard…
Maaaan this updates going to be ruined by all the cry babies before o even get a chance to play it
Oh no! It will make PvP more challenging!! What we will do?!? If everyone is already running around in meta armour. What does it matter if they have added a new meta armour. It mostly means the fights will last longer… I think you’re all worried because most of the meta in this game is a secret and you’re worried this will give you some competition
To display this Abyss armor in the old system pre 3.0, it would look like this:
Each piece gives +5 to Strength, +5 Accuracy and +5 Agility, resulting in a total of +25 Strength, +25 Agility and +25 Accuracy for the whole set.
Additionally:
Abyssal Helm gives follower damage. There is no corresponding attribute in pre 3.0.
Abyssal Mail would give +7 or 8 in Vitality.
Abyssal Gloves would give +5 to Encumbrance.
Abyssal Leggings would give +7 or 8 in Vitality.
Abyssal Boots would give +5 in Grit.
Conclusion:
Not OP?
It is a little op. But like you guys say. Everyone can get their hands on it without having to grind a dungeon or harvest where people, who already have the gear, camp the exits.
All I keep hearing is, it too much of grind to collect the things for sorcery and at the same time claiming to its too op.
This is why there end up with too many bugs because they keep changing the coding to please people.
By the time it get released, it’ll be like tinfoil and people will complain it’s not strong enough that there’s another useless armour set in the game.
I’m not devaluing anything you’ve said. You do raise some valid points. But guys just let it be. If it’s as bad as you guys foresee it to be. It will get patch with the next update anyways.
This armor being meta will make me not want to play, not only is it vastly stronger than everything else… you have to stop whatever your doing and grind with it every few minutes to keep it up, (i think they said 4 minutes per kill) or take it on and off as needed… its more tedious and not fun and on pvp everyone will be using it as it has literally 5x the buffs of the closest light armor
It also cant be looted, and is extremely cheap to keep replicating… negating alot of reasons for pvp to begin with
We finally got mogs, so we can use some of the dlcs we spent money on, just to have a new meta meta, that is the only armor that cant be mogged
Honestly all i am saying is it doesn’t fit the theme of sorcery much. The whole bit is that you have people doing damage for you, doing indirect damage or other things. Having heavily combat focused armor just doesn’t fit the theme. Also whats the point in sorcery armor if any non sorcerer can learn to summon it and use it to full effect? At that point its just another suit of armor. XD
Maybe having it so it a requirement to have max corruption to be able to wear it?
Oh, they are those. Nope, they only give you +2 STR even with a T4.
In the current 2.8 version yeah.
In 3.0 with a named armorer it’s +5
Oh, okay. Thanks!
It’s +5% increased strength weapon damage.
