Age of Bug Fixing Chapter 1 - has the PvP community been completely ignored?

Dear Funcom,

I have played very actively for almost 3 weeks (from 1st May to 17th May) and then a hacker came to 1134 and wiped another 8-man clan and my team afterwards. He stole the loot from locked chests and killed over 50 followers in less than 30 seconds. I won’t even mention that he did it all without using a single bomb.

That’s not the purpose of this post though. We have witnessed 2 updates so far in the current “chapter”. Let’s have a look at them from the PvP point of view:

  1. Blood Crystal Chakrams remain a massive problem - their damage is more than what legendary chakrams offer, they are a restricted content, and a cherry on the cake - their hitboxes are too big! The running attack guarantees around 90% chance to hit your target + you can follow up that hit with a light attack immediately for 2 guaranteed strikes. If the server is laggy, you don’t even need to target anyone - you continue clicking the left mouse button after a successful running attack and you kill your enemy even if they roll away.
  2. Server lag - the removal of al-Merayah did NOTHING. The lag remains strong the moment 20 players join a server. The problem over here is not the PvE castle you removed but how RENDERING works right now - you die, you derender all. You respawn and you render everything that you have in your base - structures, chests, the loot inside them - and the whole server gets affected with the minimum of 700 ping for a while. What is more, if someone deals damage to player-made structures, the server is forced to calculate that damage, causing another instance of lag… It is possible to use some heavy-hitting splash damage avatars for more than 25 minutes because of that lag.
  3. Agility perk domination - no matter what build you select, you are FORCED TO PLAY WITH 15 Agility or you cannot be competitive. The Agility 15 perk should be swapped with Agility 5 perk. Backstab offers +15% more damage if you strike the back of your target - a very powerful perk. Quickfooted is also a powerful perk but its very existence disrupts many build possibilities because no matter what you want to play, you have no other choice but to invest 15 out of 60 attribute points into Agility… It should not be like that… To make matters even worse, Agility has a passive effect that boosts your rolling speed - another reason to ALWAYS invest in this attribute in a PvP environment.
  4. Hackers and their program - cheating is a common place on Official servers. The very beginning of this post shows how disgusting Officials are right now. Someone asks a person with a program for help on a PvP server and they come to literally delete you. There is no chance to do anything about it. They don’t even need to wait for raid time to wipe you - they can loot your locked chests, they can delete your unlocked knowledge and sorcery (sorcery can get deleted permanently, resulting in being forced to recreate character to reobtain it). A literal joke… Yet, hackers thrive while people get banned for swearing in global chat or for building too much.
  5. Enforcement/admin activity is lacking - if you get hacked or someone is abusing you in other ways, you submit a report ticket and then nothing happens. I have reported a player who was using net limiter on 1134 to kill you even if you roll away 5 times on 4th May - there was no response until today and there will probably be none. They were also reported for building a massive 40x40x40 cube base and 14 days have passed without any admin activity.

What is the current course of action for Funcom? Are you aware of what I wrote above? Or perhaps this post will get removed immediately after I click “create” button? Please take action, @AndyB !

It is worth mentioning that Conan Exiles is currently a well-working platform full of good ideas and mechanics. And there is a lot of room for improvement! Take sorcery for example - you could make spell pages useful even after you unlock all. Let’s say that you could double the spell duration by investing 5 additional spell pages into a spell. Lots of possibilities!

However, will all those possibilities be thrown into a dumpster because the current focus of the development team is “on another desert and on another planet”? PvP community continues playing actively even after so many disappointments. Don’t let us go extinct because of your inaction!

Funcom gave up. The new child is Dune. They work hard on it so they can fail the same way again.

Why do you still play this game? Just play better PvP games like Rust or V-Rising.

DeaconElie is the most consistent troll. While FCCantProgram initiated a cynical viewpoint, DeaconElie actively enjoyed the resulting friction and fueled it with their replies. They were the most consistently antagonistic force in the thread.

I’d like to add sprint attack glitch, when u apply heavy attack damage with a regular sprint attack. Also low value of legendary armor, its worse than any craftable armor piece. Literally the only point of interest in the game is Warmaker dungeon, unnamed city and basically every other dungeon are nearly useless.

Sorry, but what exactly does one achieve in Warmaker’s dungeon better than the rest of the dungeons? Don’t want to be sarcastic here, just really don’t see anything particularely valuable there, over other dungeons. Is it a PVP thing?

Lots of PvP players farm there legendary hammers (Rannisan and World Breakers) and scraps for arena champion boots. Hammers are meta right now on PvP servers, and arena champion boots make you immune to cripple effect.
