Suggestions to Funcom

I’m just here to throw out some suggestions to help out the official PvP servers and state of PvP. It’s in a horrible state right now and it’s very saddening because this game has so much more potential.

Change spear heavy animation to be slightly faster. Not as fast as old spear but damn near. Many modded servers do well with changing spear animation to make it better. Make spear relevant again.

FIX SPRINT OVERHAND ATTACK GLITCH! This is the absolute most important glitch to fix. THIS SHOULD BE YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY FUNCOM! It completely breaks the game. With horrible server performance the window to do this glitch is MASSIVE. This needs fixed.

Add a locking feature to both fridges AND crafting benches. There is about three people on officials that go around meshing into peoples bases and take EVERYTHING they can get their little sticky fingers on. This is another thing that should be high priority. Too many people getting their hard earned farm taken from these exploiters. When they raid they start at your beds and blow up your base from the inside to the outside.

Also skybases and undermesh are so damn common now. DO BETTER FUNCOM.

Thought of a few more!

Fix the invisibility bug! Sometimes people get this bug and when they attack or dodge they are completely invisible!

Change logs back to everyone! This change is horrible! It only helps out hackers and exploiters. Let us see who did what in our logs.

Add EVERYTHING into the bazaar. Allow players to purchase any bazaars item at any time! Just do a rotation of bundles that are on sale. You will make more money and players won’t have to wait a year before the build set they want finally shows back up in the bazaar.

Regarding the Black Lotus Bazaar:

Maybe they’ll even do that eventually. And by that, I mean they’ll eliminate the rotation. Even though it feels that way right now, we shouldn’t forget that new BLB content is most likely not completely over yet.

They have abandoned the game.

Doon (Dune) is more important.

Unfortunately Funcom seems very keen on destroying the most successful game they’ve ever made (other than Dune) by pure neglect.

There is no other game like Conan Exiles, no other game that scratches that itch, and it’s depressing to see the best game ever in such a derelict state. Funcom has completely alienated their very loyal playerbase with their broken promises and lack of care for their own community.

“Oh but Conan isn’t profitable anymore.” Okay then, put out new content maybe?? More DLCs? Another map which players have been asking for for years?

They can’t fix the cheating, it’s a nasty human behavior that has plagued the games industry for years, but they could perhaps give more power to the players to manage things on their own.

PLEASE SAVE CONAN, FUNCOM.

Really feels bad that modders and server owners are putting more effort into fixing the game than Funcom itself.

If they had truly abandoned this game, there would not be a forthcoming update.

Now put that on your bookshelf.

Support desk has been down for two months and near 0 communication. They abandoned it my guy. Private server owners and modders are doing more to fix the game than Funcom.

Two whole months.. oh nooooooooo… the world is ending and the Sky is Falling.

Get a grip.

You might want to have a chat with @Xevyr about that fixing fixation.

I believe he’ll set you straight.

Nah, they haven’t abandoned it. It’s worse than that. They realized that they can make enough money without caring for the way they treat their players.

As you can see in this thread, “you’ll take what Funcom gives you and be happy with it” is not only Funcom’s attitude, but some of their players’ too

The Steam forums got really toxic.

That same toxicity has migrated to these forums.

And you wonder why FC doesn’t say much?

How would you like to be on the receiving end of all the trash talk?

I am. When the company I work for makes a big mistake, they get trashed talked all over the Internet.

Welcome to professional software development, where customers hold companies accountable for negligence.

If you think two months of support incidents being completely ignored is okay in any serious industry, I have a bridge to sell you.

You are sadly mistaken pal.

What I am saying is the world ain’t falling apart.

Why don’t you take a real close look at those so-called incident reports and see if and how they really stack up to present circumstances.

If you happen to fall into that category of “the world is falling apart”, then you better take shelter.

The point that CodeMage is valid and so is what you are saying. More than one thing can be true at once. They have ignored customers for 2+ months and the game is not abandoned. Ignoring customer support tickets is never good for any reason.

Of course the world is not falling apart because of Conan Exiles. So what? You can use that same platitude to dismiss a lot of concerns.

“Your cable TV has been out for two months and you can’t reach customer support? Who cares, the world is not falling apart.”

Why? Because it’s not my job. It’s Funcom’s job.

Bingo. If you have customers constantly complaining about their support tickets being literally ignored, i.e. left to be auto-closed due to their age, why do you even have customer support?

Similarly, if you keep promising to improve your communication, but every time it actually gets worse, then why shouldn’t people complain about that?

For the record, those aren’t rhetorical questions. Since you’re insisting on mocking people for complaining about lack of customer support and communication, you should be able to explain why they’re wrong and what your motivation is.

I once thought better of you CodeMage.

You’ve run aground like many others.

If you think I participate in these discussions to win a popularity contest and ensure that you or anyone else has a high opinion of me, you’re mistaken.

That said, if your opinion of me is diminished by my insistence on professional behavior, high standards, and accountability, that’s your own problem and nobody else’s.

The same applies if you think that you can mock people for complaining about unprofessional behavior and then act all hurt when you get called out on it.

You just don’t get it, do you.

I wouldn’t be claiming higher standards with having been drafted (or dragged down) into the devolvement of the discussions.

It all began with the nitpicking through responses. Ripping them apart to piecemeal some point.

You were once not part of that. You were better than that.

I’m done with this toxic forum.

Say whatever you wish.

I’ll tip my hat to Stelagel for his standards of decency and I wish others would do the same.

No, I don’t. I don’t get why it’s so hard to acknowledge what you did. Here, let me refresh your memory:

Which part of that did I nitpick?

I’ll also tip my hat to @stelagel for his standards of decency, because he has never mocked someone for their complaints and he has always admitted his mistakes. Hell, I’ve seen him own mistakes that weren’t even his.

So if you’re going to leave because you couldn’t even come close to his level of decency and admit one mistake, then don’t let the metaphorical door hit you on your proverbial way out.

Some people believed i did, but trying to understand or loosen the atmosphere, i may seemed to do so. But what’s true here is that there were times that i ignored situations where a bit teasing was optional .

But generally i try to understand the problem. The worst loop a player in this game can fall in to, is when this particular player preserves One character over the years. In this case this particular player may never experience the problems others have and start defending the “perfect game “. In my opinion all these faults are only Funcoms and they should run to inform their costumers and apologize the least for the inconvenience.

Now our mistake as a community, including me here, is that we get so exited seeing a dev reply, or a @Community reply and we share “off topics” instead of leaving them to do their job with less possible interaction.

My suggestion to this problem is that they should visit more often to get used their presence and leave them alone to do their job. To this however i trust your experience more @CodeMage, maybe i am mistaken.

We can still be a feedback community yet we need better guidance.

I am sorry i cannot add anything to pvp feedback anymore, either because i don’t play pvp anymore, either because i never actually enjoyed official pvp rules. The only feedback i can give for this option of the game, especially the official, is that many pvp servers i joined to do pve missions, the performance was horrible. That’s all.
