Age of War, Ch2: The Unplayable Lag

I understand that the devs work hard on putting out new and exciting content. I also appreciate that the game is free and is never going to be perfect.

That said…

Lag will kill this game. I don’t just mean the occasional unavoidable lag spike, or old gen consoles struggling to keep up… I mean the unplayable lag hell that is upon us. Not only are the mega-bases (that funcom continuously ignores as being a major issue) taking several minutes to load now, but dungeons are at peak unplayability.

Dungeons? Getting hit, with zero enemies visibly in your vicinity. Getting knocked over by, again, nothing seemingly near you. Thralls not responding.

PVP? Good luck with that stamina bar. It might regen, it might not, may the odds be ever in your favor! Trying to nail that heavy swing? Nah, your enemy has disappeared entirely only to reappear several blocks away.

Riding through the fertile highlands? Nothing but fields and open air for as far as the eye can see! Uh oh, you’re hitting an invisible forcefield? What gives? Stop moving for at least two minutes and marvel at the magically, but slowly, appearing mega structure before you!

I appreciate you, Funcom. We all love this game or we wouldn’t stick by you for so long, through thick and thin. I’m still going to play this game and I’m going to enjoy it. The new content is EXCITING and your work is not unnoticed. But please, for the love of Yog, PLEASE make Conan playable again.

Cannot speak for PvP but all the above appears to be across ALL PvE servers. Please for Yog’s sake sort it!

When we first loaded up the Beta client, lag was deadly and constant. Without an update, it got better over the course of a few days. I suspect, speculate, that live servers will follow suit and the lag will diminish over the next few days.

This is not an excuse or justification. I am sharing my experience on Beta.

The question is, would this be the game ironing itself out, or a drop off in players? :roll_eyes:

On our Nitrado server have exactly the same problem you are experiencing. Since Chapter 2 the world has become unplayable.

In our case, it was the game ironing itself out. We hosted a Beta server and 6 or 7 of us played consistently.
