Hey, server is back up. So here’s a suggestion. Sort/restack.
But right click auto half stack is a pain. I’m used to using the right click use item.
But was it necessary to remove custom sorting, in inventory quick use, ect…
To make that happen?
This one personally does not see the benefit as worth the cost
However, thank you for clarification.
Attempting to follow suit from Enshrouded.
Just as the Combat is attempting to seem more like a Soulsbourne.
This one wonders what game or style they will attempt to borrow from next?
Perhaps they will see how popular the recent Zelda games have been and adjust equipment durability down to Breath of the Wild levels…
I have to agree, when I want one of something I don’t want to half stack down to one.
I also don’t like I’ve lost the “use” function of the right mouse button.
Was on and playing for a bit and have to ask why the excessive cut to bearers HP?
A nerf I could handle, but this cut is so bad it has turned bearers in to another liability like pets are now.
You read here from various posters where something funcom has done has made the game less fun for them, cutting bearer HP so drastically is another one. I put it up there with nerfing pets to uselessness, and making gold as common as indigo.
For the love of all that’s holy, is Funcom seriously intending to remove this?
I use it ALL THE TIME. I can hardly imagine playing this game without it. Surely I’m misreading things. Funcom wouldn’t remove the custom stack feature. That would be crazy.
I’ve come to dread updates. This is my favourite game, but so many times I’ve had to take a break following the frustration of updates, that I fear each coming one will break my playthrough. I’ve only just started playing again after the Age of War…
Wait what? They’re removing custom inventory sorting as well? Is this some kind of joke?
You know, I’m a pretty chill kind of guy. Friends have remarked on my patience, I’m very slow to get upset and almost never angry.
But I’m angry now.
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!
Has a fix been found for thralls being eaten by foundations?
And alternatively; Has a fix been found for people randomly dropping through floors themselves?
Tbh, i am a bit frightened and stressed. Although i love some Youtubers i don’t watch their (full) videos because i don’t want spoilers. Every update brings few new things and i don’t want to miss the element of surprise.
But i am not sure that the feeling will be surprise now, i get that it will be frustration, or disappointment.
I am afraid!
I feel ya.
There’s been a lot of changes made to CE that I’ve disagreed with or had other preferences about over the years (which isn’t too unusual in itself) and I’ve taken them in stride despite plenty of frustrations. But these apparent changes to the UI are on another level of ohgodpleaseno.
Funcom has a habit of releasing updates in a less than polished fashion, accompanied by some truly head-scratching decisions in the past. This leads me to be majorly concerned about them now tinkering with the UI.
I don’t understand how Funcom can be so talented in some ways and yet so seemingly hopeless in others. They make wonderful games, but then get in the way of themselves and prevent their games from becoming truly great. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in their executive meetings, like some fascinated gaming anthropologist transmogrified into insect form for research.
I’ve long accepted that this is just the way Funcom is. Brilliant, but a bit retarted.
I totally get you here, it’s like “let’s do this and face the consequences later”. It’s something they really need to work.
Thanks for chatting fellow exile

I had this happen when looking at someone else’s build. I fell through the stairs and got stuck under them. I was just coming out of hybernation and barely build a sheet shack to store stuff so it’s not like I could just summon a body so I lost a lot of high tiered gear and tools. On a side note I was frustrated and moved to start another server only to find a missing character that was old…like pre Siptah old.
For me specifically it’s something with the Aesir set and it scares the hell out of me every time. ![]()
For the vast majority of their history the content of Funcom’s games has been some of the best. I once described the implementation of that content always as “some varying degree of trainwreck.” Whether that being the caboose skipping the track a bit and dragging along, or strewn across a field engulfed in flame and spewing black smoke everywhere. Lately it’s mostly been the latter (nemedian foundation bug, the mass banning due to nonexistent ‘negative crom coin balance,’ or that one time where a buttload of people’s thralls all vanished).
If it were a person it’s the type of things that makes you want to ask if things are alright at home.
To be honest i don’t think it’s related to something specific.
I built a base inside the volcano when chapter 3 released to cheese the purge there (because demolishers have been able to one shot T3 buildings before the hotfix).
Then i built a new base at buccaneer bay and wanted to move everything to that location (still didn’t because i couldn’t bring myself to play the game lately).
However, both bases are connected by a teleporter. And when i traveled from the volcano to my new base, i fell through the teleporter (which is on the 3rd level) through 2 ceilings into the foundations!
As you can see the base is built in the water, needless to say i couldn’t get out of there and drowned. ![]()
Had to summon my body afterwards.
And thralls and pets also fall through the foundations from time to time. In the volcano and my new base as well.
I also didn’t destroy my sandstone starter-base, and the same thing happened to me, my thralls and my pets there!
And there are no other bases nearby. I‘m solo on that server (private server).
Idk appears random to me.

I suspect one of the factors this might have to do with is what renders first at a given moment, you, or the piece you are supposed to be on top. Teleporting and logging in are situations when rendering order might become messed up.
Lol. I have wondered about what’s going on with them on more than one occasion.
Such awesomeness and such frustration. How do they do it? They’re like a brilliant gymnast suffering from intermittent vertigo, which regularly causes them to break their legs when trying to stick the landing. If it wasn’t for this unfortunate affliction, they’d be competing at the Olympics.
I think so, too.
A dirty fix might be to delay falling by e. g. 0.1 seconds, either always or after logging in, teleporting and so on.
That would give the environment more time to load.
A short enough delay wouldn’t allow your character to fly, but should still be enough to avoid falling through foundations.
Wait, there are people who loggin and aren’t immediately deposited into the water table under the mesh for several moments?
This one also is amused by how removing a fence several foundations away can cause thralls to sink into the floor.
I still remember a time when it was mandatory to leave all thralls on foundations or they would fall through the mesh upon logging in. The EL were all made of quick sands in disguise. ![]()
Maybe this lovely feature will come back who knows… wouldn’t surprise me. ![]()
Why aren’t we allowed to like as much posts as we want btw? Is there a reason behind it?
Makes no sense to me.
