ALL OFFICIAL SERVERS in US ARE DOWN! They show as up, but no one can log in

ALL OFFICIAL SERVERS PvE-C in US ARE DOWN!!! They show as up, but no one can log in.

It is possible Server Maintenance is seeing them as up and running. That is how they appear to the players. BUT THEY ARE ALL DOWN.

Isle of Siptah servers are up. Some PVP Official are up. I can’t log in to any PvE-c official server.

There seems to be a BUG that crashes the server AI or general game AI.

all the popular ones are down. exiled lands pvp especially.

After checking, I can log in to vacant PvP servers in the Exiled Lands, but likely these servers have only had a few players on today. The Bug is triggered by the server seeing moderate use by players. The Servers start the day normally, but by noon or so they become non-responsive.

Can you explain a little more about this bug and how you came to this conclusion?

I suspected there’s multiple causes depending on mode.

NA PVE seems to go down for seemingly no reason, there isn’t much data on popularity, so maybe what you’re suggesting is what is happening.

Just tonight now the PVE-C servers are affected, is it the same?

But as for PVP, well, I can pretty much assume they’re being purposely crashed.

A few days ago it was suggested that these purposeful crashes might be affecting other servers, even PVE, if they’re on the same machine.

See for yourself. Go to PvE-C login. Select America, Official. Exiled Land servers show as up as running with normal pings and all have zero players. Start trying to log in. You can’t, no one can. But they appear to be up and available to be played on.

It usually requires a server reset to fix the issue. But that is because no one at Funcom is monitoring the server, or trying to log on anyway. They could just reset the servers.

I’m not doubting that the servers are affected, I’m just wondering how you had drawn the conclusion that it is a bug and I thought you could elaborate is all. Maybe help others understand since it has been happening to multiple regions for months.

Greetings. This server issue has been ongoing for quite a bit of time now. There are multiple post throughout the forum asking for at least acknowledgement of these issues.

We as the players can only notify through forums of this ongoing issue with server connectivity.

I am well aware, I have not questioned the truth of the matter, its a fact.

What I am asking is how this person knows it is a bug. If it is, in fact, a bug, then it can be properly reported.

  1. Define “Bug”, because the topic was, all servers down. Now regardless of its proper vernacular, something is preventing players from logging onto Official Servers. I strongly recommend to the Funcom that they correct this issue.
  2. The only method I am aware of submitting a topic, so it is “properly reported” is to use this system of forum notification. It would strongly suggest, due to its lack of response to this issue or the players invested in the game, that this system does not work. Is there another system you know of that we could submit this “bug” report to for proper notification and response to the community?

If you and Bladesaint are referring to the servers going down, coming back up, but inaccessible, that isn’t necessarily a bug.

It could be a bug; but it might be an exploit, server setting or something else though, because we don’t know unless Bladesaint meant something else than just calling the situation a “bug”.

There’s been theories that I outlined above, however nothing concrete at this time.

As I wrote here, we can rule out GPortal.

As for reporting server issues like this, we’re supposed to do so under server performance with Helpshift.

This place in the forum is where you file proper bug reports for PC, so simply writing a post doesn’t create a report. Here’s the template and instructions, oh btw, the template is broken.

Now whether or not any of this matters anymore is up for debate. Hell, the LATAM servers were dealing with this, twice, since late summer.

Last weekend EU.

NA intermittently since November 2nd.

I would strongly suggest they put this information on the recently noticed pre-game launcher. Additionally: the end result of navigating to help in game, should not lead to these forums with this message:

I’m going to lose all my stuff because of this! today is day 9 since my last login

I was just stating the current situation before everyone lost all their bases, etc.

I identified it as a BUG so the Devs would know it is an ongoing problem/event.

I have not been able to find a work-around.

It occurred to me that to someone checking the server status would see the servers affected as up and running with good connection speeds and just no one was logged in. Nothing strange there, but try to log in and you can’t.

So I raised a flag with all caps notifying anyone we needed at least a server restart of US servers. The servers seemed to have been restarted and I hope no one lost their bases and thralls.

I may file a BUG report, but they know what is happening now. Someone saying one server is down is not unusual. But if all servers are down after running a few hours each day, but look like they are running normally, that could get missed. And now they know, so I will wait on the BUG reports. I just wanted someone to restart the servers.

Correct. And @Kikigirl, who is a much calmer and more helpful person than I, expertly explained the issue and set forth ways to report it.

she was not challenging anything, just reminding folks that the forums are not a good place to report bugs. Not only is it obvious that no one at Funcom monitors these forums, we can’t even get serious answers to help tickets, so, I suspect, the issue will be ignored.

However, I have a low and suspicious mind, so putting in a ticket is really the best option.

No one is fighting here, so let’s all take a breath and take the player/community support as a helping hand.

Indeed! We’re all on this ricketyass boat one way or another. Solidarity for the players who continue to stick around for better or worse and those cheering from the sidelines.

He has a few videos showcasing. From what I’ve been told is when this specific thrall takes damage from bombs it crashes the server.

This also apparently works on private servers AND single player. No clue on how to exactly replicate it though.
