A compass: Not a single player has requested a compass, particularly considering we’ve had the same map for so long. If anything, the demand has been for a minimap…

Maybe some of you like to be able to just look at the compass while riding and not have to open the the map. Or get caught in the map by some mini boss while navigating?

Not everyone has a minimap option.
It doesnt really surprises me, just think its funny that it takes seven years to do what it takes me two hours, and Im not a senior programmer.
Why are you getting so upset over an optional feature of a compass? Its literal purpose is to be a tiny status icon that points north… and it doesn’t even show if you don’t have the compass in your inventory. 
I actually have wished I had one in the past. I’m far more knowledgeable about the map now, but I’m sure many newer players might find it extremely beneficial.

First off, be respectful, even if you’re wrong as usual.
You talk about priorities, but I’m sure the bazaar update and the removal of the battle pass were top priorities.
Educate yourself—it doesn’t make sense to add a compass for ‘immersion’ when it’s just an icon pointing west. But hey, new bazaar rotation.

The problem is a compass serves no purpose. Only idiots who are too lazy to pull up the map want it.
However a compass serves no purpose in this game. The answer is use your brain and pull up the damn map which your character marker serves as a compass. Adding this crap just destroys the feel of the game since it didn’t exist in the time period the game is set.
Take your own advice for once in your life. It would do you a wonder of good.
And yes, I absolutely talked about priorities. Removing the battle pass was a vastly higher priority that adding in a compass and if you cannot wrap your tiny little mind around that then there truly is no hope for you. Do you even comprehend what the battle pass was meant to do? In all honesty do you?
Let me educate you, since you seem to be fixated on education here. The battle pass was intended to create a system to force players to log in MORE FREQUENTLY in order to accomplish specific goals in order to advance the system to unlock rewards. Except you could just go into the admin panel and cheese it out in an hour or two. After that was done people went back to their serial refreshing with the added bonus of all the new shinnies. So the Battle Pass FAILED TO ACCOMPLISH what it was intended. So they attempted to revamp it, expect within a day that too was found to be extremely exploitable and it took a matter of days (not an entire month) to cheese it all out and BAM, back to serial refreshing with all of the new shinnies. So yet again it FAILED TO ACCOMPLISH what was intended.
So let me ask you mister IgnorantFaceOne, what is a higher priority here? To eliminate the wasted money and time spent on creating new items and all that nonsense that goes into a battle pass which DOES NOT DO WHAT IT IS INTENDED TO DO or you know, moving on to the next item on the list of priorities and actually DOING SOMETHING IMPORTANT. It may not be what YOU like, or even care about, but considering it is something that has been asked for for YEARS clearly shows that it is something that the community DOES want. I personally could not care one bit about it, but I am not going to go on some holy crusade about how bloody awful it is and how it is such a waste of time because I don’t care about it. Only a complete idiot would do that. Kind of reminds you of someone doesn’t it? 
So now that you have some more education on the subject, maybe, just maybe, you can learn to have some perspective on the things you spew of out onto the forum without having a shred of context or knowledge of before making an even bigger arse of yourself? But I have extremely little hope that that will actually happen.

You usually don’t move while the map is open as for your comment about bosses only a complete idiot isn’t aware of their surroundings in this game. All spawns are static which makes your entire arguement moot. A compass serves no real purpose making it a waste of money and time
Dumbass it already existed on the map the reason it won’t work is it only tells you the direction you are heading nothing else. You still end up opening the map. You do realize that this is a grid based game and not directional right? I can do this all day as well since an onscreen compass will not show true north since it’s grid based maps and a compass can’t tell you when to turn like a map.
