Maybe if you buy something from the bazaar they can afford to “fix” it?
The Crystal Mace is equivalent to star metal so this seems highly intentional. Probably just a coincidence… but take a guess at what the meta weapon in pvp is.
Yes I see the problem, and I will spell it out for those who are blind:
It’s called Pay to Win.
Not only that but since I’ve been playing for so long… I have a ton of gear from before Age of War that somehow was not adjusted (I assume because they have attachments). Who needs legendaries when you have a 81 damage Venomdrenched Gladius that you can repair forever at a bench… and thats just one item. Hell my tools are even giga busted, they have like 4x more durability than ones you can craft now. My truncheon is like 5x more powerful than the same truncheon picked up during age of war.
Its beyond stupid.
From the known issues post.
Fair enough, but even if they fix it they’re not going to revert the items. So similar to how I have a bunch of busted ass pre age of war gear now people can spam making those spears to have an infinite supply.
Just make sure you put a master weapon fitting on them before the change so their stats are locked in.
I agree they have backed in themselves into a corner with the players ability to lock in weapon/armor stats so that they cannot be rebalanced in the future. It would take something like doubling every value in the game across players and npcs (health, damage) so that legacy weapons become trash.
Khitan weapons also do more damage and have higher armor pen then al the other star metal dlc weapons.
Or they could make it so that modified weapons get checked the first time a save is launched after an update.
You would get the new base item, to which modifications would be re-applied to match what would happen with a fresh item and those modifications.
Basically, make it so that Grandfathered Weapons (or Legacy, whatever you wanna call them) cannot exist
Yeah I don’t understand how their system even allows locking of stats, in any other game it works like you said, there’s a base weapon value independent of any modifications. I think what also is tricky is the T4 crafting thralls because they alone can lock in stats and they don’t grant +5 or +6 its a percentage based on the base weapon value. They would need to remove T4 crafters and mods entirely to fix the locking damage without remaking their entire crafting system. Which honestly would “buff” legendary weapons and items by the gap alone between crafted and legendary.
maybe if everything in the bazzar had a normal price like half of what it is rn
Well you gotta keep in mind. Most things in the bazaar are actually HALF OFF. That’s right! The prices may seem high, but supply is low and they are actually heavily discounted already.
“Hey our [Insert worthless junk] isn’t selling at $10.”
“Oh, well make it $20 and then discount it to $10, oh and put a timer on that deal expiring and then wait 3 months before putting them item back on the market”
Is it honorable business? No, but business and honor doesn’t pay investors as fast as business and fomo.
Remember when everyone bought the Arcane Cabinet and then they nerfed it after they stopped selling it.
That is actually illegal in Europe, but they found the “it’s not a discount price, it’s a bundle price” excuse to circumvent the issue
yea so take the discount price and make it half and you’ll have a reasonable price for the items
Chart/pic from OP seems outdated though, many neither have cripple nor bleed now
Wiki team is working on weapon tags as that whole system was changed recently. I guarantee you the damage numbers are accurate.
