Hello guys, I have issues with archers after the latest AI rework, The archers get teleported on the ground from their archer towers and they start to chase NPC around our base through the gates, The settings i am using is Stand and defende, attack range 50m, chase distance 5m,
Anyone has a similar problem or i am just using the AI setting wrong?
Edit: After messing around with the building structure it seems that when you place them on anything that is not foundation they will get teleported on the ground after engaging in combat.(also one of the thralls got teleported in the textures)
When you set a chase distance smaller than an attack distance, AI starts act funny. It’s like a chase distance overrides an attack distance setting. Try setting the chase distance to 50m as well and see what will happen. My archers on the walls work just fine, they start attacking as soon as an enemy enters the attack radius, they don’t teleport and don’t move from the spots where I placed them.
For me and some others it is bugged: Thralls walking through walls and doors and being killed
For some it is NOT and you have to set the right behavior - even when there is NO right behavior, as even on “stand and guard” this idiots are teleporting around.
Even dancers on “no attack” are teleporting around.
My archers who ported were on: Triangle foundation or triangle ceiling pieces. One was at a normal foundation and ported herself into spikes, which slowly killed her.
It seems that no matter where i put the archer he will get teleported on the ground and start chasing NPCs around, I just want them to stand there, not move but attack anything they see. Do you mind sharing what behaviour settings you are using exacly?

Have you find the configuration to block the new “Offensif Teleport” on thralls?
when the archers can’t hit the target, they teleport on him a few second later, It’s a real problem.
Attack everything
Attack distance — 50
Chase distance — 50
Prefer ranged attacks
All my archers on walls share the same settings and none of them ever abandoned their post. Also, none of them have melee weapon in their inventory. Maybe this does the trick?..
i have try with this configuration but when the target is out of sight, my archers teleport.
i prefer “Stand and defend” than “Prefer ranged attacks” they don"t move

I’m having all kinds of issues with archers. I built an archer “tower” one foundation higher than a surrounding fence. The tower has steps. Every time it sees an enemy, it tries to go down the steps to engage. I might of fixed it by setting the archer to attack everything, but I need more testing. I’ve tried all kinds of the new settings. I definitely think it needs work.
Problem is: these two are options from the same menue so I think they cannot be chosen at the same time. Probably only the last one will be in effect?
