Attributes Reworked/Rebalanced

I started playing Conan a few weeks ago and I absolutely love this game. The immersion, the fights, absolutely everything. However I do feel like some parts of the game are being limited to a single playstyle and some of the content is just “forgotten” as it doesn’t have a use. One of those parts are the attributes. Some attributes trees really doesn’t feel like they have a place in the game while others just aren’t even worth upgrading for the perks, limiting most builds to a single one. I’m now suggesting these changes on the attributes to make each tree more appealing and allow different playstyles.
My attributes suggestion:
First remove Vitality and Encumbrance trees. Move their effects to Survival and Strength respectively. Why? The Survival perk as it is its completely useless. The HP from vitabilty is a bigger factor of survivability than anything the Survival perk can provide. As for the Encumbrance, it makes more sense that being stronger makes you able to carry more stuff.

Now we are left with Strength, Accuracy, Agility, Grit and Survival, let’s tweak their bonus perks to make things more interesting and viable.

ACCURACY
1- Bouncing arrows!
2- Able to move faster while shooting arrows
3- Boom! Headshot. 50% increased dmg for headshots.
4- Faster firing rate with light attacks
5- You fire two arrows with your power attack

(Would be interesting to give more roleplay to people using bows and make the accuracy perks more viable for them. Maybe change the damage on daggers to accuracy? Makes sense to me and would give them a melee weapon to fight those who gets closer, making archers a significant threat for everyone)

SURVIVAL (Now increases max hp)
1- Pick up more resources
2- Harsh weather resistance
3- Passive Regen
4- Invulnerability to poisons and diseases. Strength of detrimental status effecs are reduced by 20%
5- 15% Damage reduction from all sources

AGILITY
1- run Forest, run! 10% less vigor consume while running.
2- Increases range of Dodge while on light armour or decreases the cost of stamina while on heavy armour
3- Spend less stamina while jumping or crawling
4- slightly increases the height of your jump and your speed
5- Significantly increases the speed of your dodges(I’ve never seen a man double jumping in mid air so duck that)

STRENGH (Now increases melee damage and carry capacity)

1- Your attacks do 15% more damage to enemies under negative effects
2- You carry 10% more weight
3- 10% increased damage to light attacks
4- 25% increased damage to heavy attacks
5- One-handed weapons gets a boost on damage while two handed weapons gets increased attack speed.

GRIT
1- Vigor regenerates 10% faster
2- Light attacks costs 10% less
3- Heavy attks costs 15% less
4- You will consume 25% less vigor if you’re surrounded by 3 or more enemies
5- Striking down an enemy increases your moral, replenishing 30% of your stamina bar.

Those are my suggestions. What do you guys think?

I think it’s an interesting idea. I kinda like combining vitality and survival, it does make a lot of sense. Encumbrance and strength though I’m not so keen on. As a builder and hoarded who runs an encumbrance build 80% of the time, I’m not sure how I feel about losing the last encumbrance perk. Sure the perk is a little ridiculous, but it plays a very important role when building and farming. I need to be able to move freely to build effectively when I have 100s of wall and foundations in my inventory. Also farming all those mats would be way more Time consuming if I had to go back to base every time I picked up a few thousand stone. The way the game functions now I think there would be a lot of angry people if that 5th encumbrance perk was removed.

Disagree with almost everything here, all attributes have their place and while the 50 point bonuses for grit and survival etc are fairly useless, the 30 point bonuses are paramount in various situations

I never farm hide without 30 survival as you get the double harvest Speed from 20 point and double resource from 30 point.

30 grit makes you tankier and gives you a huge amount stamina for climbing/chasing

So many other great perks currently too, reduce cripple, ability to eat raw food,

You are also proposing to remove the 50 encumberance bonus ??! What ?? No sorry no way

You are suggested a huge overhaul and would imbalance everything

Yes I’m suggesting a huge overhaul and I don’t think it would imbalance everything as you can hardly call the current state as balanced.
It’s interesting that you use Survival 30 perk to farm hide, but do you really play your whole game with Survival at 30? Probably you just yellow lotus yourself from time to time according to your needs. Is it a viable mechanic? Yes. A fun one to do so often? Definitely not.

Of course this is just my opinion and those perks where created based on my solo opinion. As I never valued the 50 Encumbrance bonus perk, I didn’t mind leaving it out. What if we replaced my 50 STRENGH perk with the Encumbrance one? Would it be too OP as it ignores the mechanic of weight?

Feel free to give us your opinion. Why don’t you start with the few things you liked on my suggestion?

Interesting! I never gave too much attention to the 50 perk of Encumbrance but I definitely get what you mean! I tried to fit it somewhere but I get the feel it’s too OP to have it even on strength 50 as it completely ignores the weight mechanic. Maybe with a few tweaks we could switch the 50 perk of survival to the Encumbrance one and add the 15% dmg reduction to the Grit build. Would make more sense as the survival perk gives you more resources per action.

I have two characters on the server I play. 1 fighter 1 harvester/builder

My harvester has 21 points in survival always to get 20 perk, when I want to farm hide I simply equip flawless Pictish medium which boosts me to 30. This is my hide gathering gear, also use this for farming dragons for demon blood/haunch
