I started playing Conan a few weeks ago and I absolutely love this game. The immersion, the fights, absolutely everything. However I do feel like some parts of the game are being limited to a single playstyle and some of the content is just “forgotten” as it doesn’t have a use. One of those parts are the attributes. Some attributes trees really doesn’t feel like they have a place in the game while others just aren’t even worth upgrading for the perks, limiting most builds to a single one. I’m now suggesting these changes on the attributes to make each tree more appealing and allow different playstyles.
My attributes suggestion:
First remove Vitality and Encumbrance trees. Move their effects to Survival and Strength respectively. Why? The Survival perk as it is its completely useless. The HP from vitabilty is a bigger factor of survivability than anything the Survival perk can provide. As for the Encumbrance, it makes more sense that being stronger makes you able to carry more stuff.
Now we are left with Strength, Accuracy, Agility, Grit and Survival, let’s tweak their bonus perks to make things more interesting and viable.
ACCURACY
1- Bouncing arrows!
2- Able to move faster while shooting arrows
3- Boom! Headshot. 50% increased dmg for headshots.
4- Faster firing rate with light attacks
5- You fire two arrows with your power attack
(Would be interesting to give more roleplay to people using bows and make the accuracy perks more viable for them. Maybe change the damage on daggers to accuracy? Makes sense to me and would give them a melee weapon to fight those who gets closer, making archers a significant threat for everyone)
SURVIVAL (Now increases max hp)
1- Pick up more resources
2- Harsh weather resistance
3- Passive Regen
4- Invulnerability to poisons and diseases. Strength of detrimental status effecs are reduced by 20%
5- 15% Damage reduction from all sources
AGILITY
1- run Forest, run! 10% less vigor consume while running.
2- Increases range of Dodge while on light armour or decreases the cost of stamina while on heavy armour
3- Spend less stamina while jumping or crawling
4- slightly increases the height of your jump and your speed
5- Significantly increases the speed of your dodges(I’ve never seen a man double jumping in mid air so duck that)
STRENGH (Now increases melee damage and carry capacity)
1- Your attacks do 15% more damage to enemies under negative effects
2- You carry 10% more weight
3- 10% increased damage to light attacks
4- 25% increased damage to heavy attacks
5- One-handed weapons gets a boost on damage while two handed weapons gets increased attack speed.
GRIT
1- Vigor regenerates 10% faster
2- Light attacks costs 10% less
3- Heavy attks costs 15% less
4- You will consume 25% less vigor if you’re surrounded by 3 or more enemies
5- Striking down an enemy increases your moral, replenishing 30% of your stamina bar.
Those are my suggestions. What do you guys think?
