Base defense Questions

I have general questions about smoke arrows and sandstorm gas masks on thralls, and on base defense?

I know smoke arrows keep players from locking on their target and hide the player health bar. What effect do smoke arrows have on thralls that are defending a base?

Does the sandstorm mask protect thralls from poison gas when your base is being assaulted?

A third question for the community at large I am nearly a solo PvP player and I am seeking opinions on base defense stratifies.

Guard area VS attack on enemies settings for base defense thralls which is better setting?
Suggested mix of archers VS fighters?

Does A thrall pot actually feed defenders to help with the health recovery?

This is my defense structure any suggestions?
I use a mixture of poison daggers, poisoned pike, and poisoned two handed swords for my fighter thralls.
I have my archers with smoke arrows, acid arrows, and poison gas arrow about 1/3 each
My fighter to archer ration is 20 Cimmerian berserkers, 20 Relic Hunters treasure seekers (fighters), and 11 Cimmerian 3 Archers and 5 Freya, and lastly 5 Diana mistress of the hunt.

I can answer a few,

  1. Smoke arrow only affect player as it only affect our sight which is the screen
  2. Yes sand storm mask can protect thrall from poison arrow(the gassy one) but not acid arrow. So if using low durability sand storm mask they might use acid to destroy the mask first.
  3. I am not too sure which order is better for base. The thrall pot can help you feed the thrall thus healing them but it drain alot faster than if sticking them with their own food. Be careful on where you place the thrall pot as this would the player somewhere to stand to avoid the thrall this also applied to other object as well.
To add on if you use acid, and poison arrow do it if you can trap them in one part of the base as those stuff also deal damage to user within range.

Thralls take food from pot yes, but don’t throw low tier stuff in there, they tend to love honey!

Archer/fighter ratio?
Against human and animal purge I like using an archer with gas arrows, one with set arrows one with firespark arrows.
One fighter with a mace, and an entertainer (!!!) with venom-infused daggers.
Against undeads I give the entertainer a mace too and if you have siptah the annoying shard, giantsbane and night light are your best friends.
Archers get obsidian or other high damage craftable arrows.

Depending on the area a combination of both is required, one player can lure the thralls away leaving an open spot for others to get in.

That’s a very good question, the answer to which could be an excellent defense add-on. :+1:t2:
