Update: checked the log, says the shelves lost stability, however, they were the large shelves and had been there for months. The shelves disappeared after logoff/on, lost all chest and there contents.
Does it seem like this could be related to the bug being discussed here? Apparantly refreshing timers on the base does not currently properly refresh timers on placeable items.
Possible. However, these were Nordheimer shelves on reinforced stone foundations at the base of my build.The chest were on the shelves and had been there for a couple of months no issues.

That used to be a problem years ago. Chests on top of shelves (or any placeable item, including carpets) would randomly disappear.
It’s why I only put chests directly on the floor now.
