Your own ability to afford is irrelevant. I didn’t say you couldn’t pay or are envious but your argument sounds like it
l
Yes it is envious because you are belittling how they use their wealth and that implies your would use it better. It’s envy of the money, itself.

The only thing that bothers me is PS5 players still buying stuff from a game that craps on our faces. I don’t mind paying for quality. I do mind paying for crap.
I used to buy nearly everything until I decided that the game ran so poorly I unistalled it. Why would I keep spending money in a game that barely runs with minimal stuff built? Texture rendering delay, textures rendering in and out, and nvisible stuff that doesn’t get fixed are simply too much. The last straw was having to build ‘purge friendly’ bases. That did it.
So, until PS5 gets a proper optimization and the purge gets fixed, I won’t give them another dime.

Yeah, that’s not envy.
a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else’s possessions, qualities, or luck.
desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable attribute belonging to (someone else).
Someone making fun of another person spending millions of dollars on another persons POOP is not out of a resentful longing aroused by their desire to possess said poop! It is out of the absurdity of the fact that someone would actually spend money (regardless of the amount) on such a thing!
But maybe you are just truly envious of not possessing said poop yourself and are projecting these sentiments onto @Mood instead?

Since I play on PC I have a legit question for PS and XBOX players. If Funcom up and disabled the DLC’s and BLB / Battlepass and left you with only the base game items, would it even run with just that? This is not meant as an insult to consoles, but to their “optimization” attempts. In all honesty, even if they limited the game to just the base game items, with the way people build and over populate with thralls / pets, would the game even be able to function properly on consoles?

Which is envy of having that amount of money to throw at obtaining famous poop. It’s not envy of the poop but the envy of having the money to buy such frivolous things. Why else would we be discussing what some 1%er is buying with their money and it has no bearing on us at all? Because we feel that we could spend that money better than they did. That’s envy of the money. Its not driving us to get to the 1% level so that we could spend our own money but to look at how these rich folks are ‘wasting’ their own money. How is that not envy of their fiscal position?

And yet you clearly ignored the REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT part of that entire sentence you just quoted. Which means you also went on to rant about absolutely nothing because you have no idea what you are talking about, you just want to prattle on about “I’M RIGHT!”.
Sorry but no. But by all means, carry on.

I’m sorry, I thought when you were responding to me in a public forum, they you wanted conversation rather than just being snarky and pretentious. My bad, I won’t waste anymore time with you on this topic then.
Look upon thee works ye mighty and despair.

Because we’re talking about a finite number of items which have a total value. And your decision to avoid defining by an absolute value was done in order to avoid responsibility to stand behind your own statements and definitions.
But you’re willing to judge other’s claims when they list an actual value that just so happens to list you in said group, but you won’t state a measurable standard yourself. That’s cowardice.
You monster! How dare you spend your money on items you like!

These sets combined are still cheaper than what some pay for a pack of cigarettes, which they would smoke in a day. Just to get cancer.

Here’s a prickly bit tho…
This one, when Age of Sorcery launched and was repaired enough to be playable on PS (you no doubt recall the complete debacle that was the initial launch of the new Conan Exiles with it’s content treadmill and new monetization, ect), this one demonstrated approval of the addition, finally, of Sorcery and support for further development of Sorcery and other in game content (remember that Livestream where they noted the “micro-transactions” would support further included based game content?) with the purchase of a… well… an amount bordering between ludicrous and absurd number of Chrome Coins.
This one is still sitting on a not insignificant number of those digital Mammon prayer wafers.
How does the “monetization expert” look at the purchasing trends? Do they focus on the transactions to acquire Chrome Coins, or do they look at what sells in the Bazaar and when? Also, the recent sale for Black Friday may have inflated both those numbers.
But given Funcom’s wretched and perfidious punishment of those who dared to purchase from them during their own sale, who is likely to trust them in such a transaction again? But that bit of, as usual, incompetence so extreme it is hard to imagine that it isn’t malfeasance is a topic of several threads already.
Xbox Rewards and Battlepass coins. Haven’t spent any dollarydoos this Chapter

Not my decision, there is no absolute value. Why do you not get that?
No that is you wanting to be able to call everyone whale so YOU don’t get singled out. “when everyone’s super no one’s super”. If you can come up with a definition that is all inclusive you don’t feel so self conscious. “If everyone is guilty, no one is guilt and that includes me”.
I see no other reason for you to so desperately want everyone to be considered whales.

Before AoS it ran smoothly on PS5.

I shared the same feeling. I was quite optimistic about the future of the game. AoS was still playable after a few fixes. I think it was chapter 2 or 3 that ruined it, and it’s due to bad porting. The PS5 specs put to shame a lot of PCs that run CE satisfactorily.
Until they solve it, I’m out.
FUNCOM seems determined about ruining the game. Incompetence? Negligence? Lack of funds? Don’t know, don’t care. I care about results and they are disappointing. It’s a shame. This was my favorite game. If it improves, I’ll return in a heartbeat. Until then, no sugar from me.

I am completely in love with the roof style of this set.
Point of clarification.
It has been mentioned before, but just so we have all the numbers definitively correct in mind (because this exchange is giving this one flashbacks to the Halcyon days of Byzantium), @Taemien , you haven’t purchased any CC, is that correct?
Not a judging point, just trying to parse exactly what is going on, because this one thinks people may be talking past/over each other…

You could not be more right. My clan mate used to nag me by saying I was spending too much money on the cosmetics in Conan. Once, I asked how much he was spending on his cigarettes. 50€ a week he said. After that, I told him that if he stopped smoking, he could buy 10 times more cosmetics than I would ever in the game lol. He never bothered me again

I think @Taemien’s point is that “whale” is subjective while @DeaconElie is saying there is a common sense definition.
For instance, I put in about $100 last year on cc (roughly 25/chapter). Am I a whale? To someone that refuses to buy anything, yes I am and fueling this God forsaken corporate greed. However I know others are buying the $50 value pack with consistency that would question my fiscal commitment to the game.
