So I made the dye bench. Why in sweet Zath’s name does it have to be almost the size of my Zath temple.
Can we make a mini one?
I have managed with the others. Done my best to cram them. But the dye bench broke my spirit.

In all honesty, all of the benches could use a reduction in size, especially the end tier benches. They are entirely too huge.

I have to build a west wing onto my west wing to fit it…them. I am sure they are worth it. Or is the yield negligible?

It’s the tattoo, the dyes are not so, but the tattoos are very useful. Keep in mind however that you don’t need any alchemist to have black and white, if you search the dyes you will find these colors. When you get a named alchemist you will see them on the top, but they already exist in the dye pallette of the bench. I didn’t knew it and I was desperately looking for a named one, later on people opened my eyes and I was omg

Hehe, I think just the opposite. 
I think they should be more elaborate and often somewhat larger. There already are smaller versions of every bench (except 2) and the tradeoff is speed or efficiency. I can fit multiples of almost every “super-bench” in what I consider to be a very small area. Every time this comes up I never get why. Is it that they are trying to do everything in a 4x4 space or something?

For the best benches it is definitely worth it for Garrison benches and the best alchemist bench 5 aloe leaves in best vs 10 in improved. Much less bars of starmetal and materials in Garrison benches. Have not read before the beginning of post. @stelagel showed me the light on these things even though he may have not known it at the time

Unless I’m building a castle of some description I don’t bother going past the improved benches as the cost of crafting them and the size of their footprint isn’t worth the slightly improved yield. Some of those benches collision sizes are kinda dumb particularly the precision alchemy bench. It needs like a full foundation behind it. As for the dye bench I don’t think I’ve ever built one. I loot that many dyes off corpses that I’ve never felt a need.

My wife and I are big on keeping our characters in the latest fashion so dyes are important besides after starting to play a female character with my wife’s suggestion how could I not keep up with fashion. I will admit the fuel efficient forge is crazy tall the one someone in our group stays outside.

We just need a tattoo chair with a small table with a needle…or in our case paint brush. And a small tub to mix the dye. Lol

Except that the example you show in that video is out in the open where everything would just be stolen, and is frankly a massive cluster F. Oh, and that is NOT a “very small area” in even the most generous stretch of the imagination. But sure, if you REALLY want to twist reality in that manner then sure I suppose you could pretend that it is.
A funny story!!!
A friend of mine fixed a beautiful little house and still he had everything, I was scratching my head it was fully decorated, a small kitchen and nothing else. The lobby was not so big, it was a small house after all, but it had four foundations free. He had all the benches in chests and whenever he wanted to fix something or repair something, he was getting out the bench and do it. He saved him self from several hours of building, upgrading, etc… The most important, you didn’t feel that you were on a Conan exiles house. I am thinking of doing it for my self too actually, I am just lazy you know, I want to go to the bench, fix and go. But I really envy his idea.
Now…
The only benches are really necessary to be tier 3 are the garrisons on armor and blacksmith and the presicion alchemist. All the others, especially in pve don’t really matter.
Fix a dye bench and place it only when necessary if you don’t have the space. Other than that I love the crocodile tattoo, it goes perfectly on my Bella body and white dye. In Siptah the dyes are literally everywhere, in exile lands not so, at least in the quantity Siptah has them.
But the 3 benches above must be tier 3 it’s huge economy and really high stats on weapons and armors.
My wife is telling me she also spawns outside of New asgard to the south. You could send your time waiting on spawns to get tons of iron ore in God’s Claw passage let me know it works out for you

I can fit 3-4 improved benches in the space of 1 t3 bench. 3-4 improved easily covers the speed of one t3 bench and I’m ahead a whole bunch of t3 mats. Horses for courses I guess.
T4 thralls are not even necessary anymore. T3 do basically same thing and are easy to get. Never had a purge spawn inside base. As long as you give it a clear path to your base it can be avoided. Splitting tasks takes all of a few minutes. I hear what your saying it’s just never become even close to a problem for me.

my game works just fine for me and has done since release. The only thing that’s nonsense is you leaning towards only one style of play that works. Stop being so obnoxious and realise that different strokes work for different folks. Armourers and blacksmiths are the only t4 thralls other than fighters that provide a huge advantage over t3. Smelters, tanners, carpenters etc provide a slight speed bonus and no more unless you’re into bows. I have managed to hold my own on plenty of official pvp servers without having the greatest of everything.
