Add medium armor and get +5 enc., then +7 (exep.) and +9 (flaw.)
Good versatile build and take a bearer 3 or 4 with you :slight_smile:

SP, can just admin tab ENC to 195 to 295 and be happy.

By lv60.
S 4/5 (when Pen did work for bows… melee is back up)
A 3/4 or something, I forget…
V 1/5 2/5 give or take what i need.
A 5/5 cause I bow.
G 4/5, cause i hate Stam issue… Pet peeve.
E 0 (solo player admin panel fun)
S 0 cause… it does nothing I can’t counter with food or items.

Left over for me, is tossed around were needed.

I always start game with points in Str-Grit. You’ll be smacking stuff and running from stuff. XD
Yellow loctus potions easy to make at start of game… I tend swap about several times.

if your not using range, you baisclly got a mass of point to dump in str and vit for melee fun, or a stat your having issue with.

depends on what kind of server you’re in and what you do
Conan Exiles has a way to reset your stats without any cooldown or limitation so the stats you use depends on what you are trying to do.

(to be honest i think this is something wrong with the game and there shouldn’t be an easy way to reset attributes)

The best thing you can do now is to aim for the perks, every 10 points in any stat has a milestone that gives you a new ability or boost your actions. you can check them in detail here: https://conanexiles.gamepedia.com/Attribute

Basically they do the following:

  • Strength boost melee damage, most players aim for 40, for the 15% increased damage on heavy attacks
  • Agility gives armor and mobility, afaik, most players only take 10, for increased sprint duration
  • Vitality gives HP, and HP regeneration. afaik, most players take 30 for the pasive healing or 40 in pvp for quick health recovery.
  • Accuracy gives ranged damage and improves accuracy when moving. avoid it if you’re not using bows. otherwise, 40 is nice to have.
  • Grit is for stamina, the more you have the more actions you can take before you have to wait to fill the stamina bar, 20~30 is good, imo.
  • Encumbrance is for carrying things in your inventory, the more you spend here the more you can carry, 5th perk is great for builders and gatherers
  • Survival improves your character resistance to status effects such as bleeding or poison. most people don’t use it as it’s not really essential. 2º perk is good for gathering faster.

An overall build for fighting and gathering without resets would be something like this:
Strength 20~40
Agility 10~20
Vitality 20~40
Accuracy0~40
Grit 20~30
Encumbrance 20~30
Surviveability 0~30*

Thanks All,
This is for a PVE build.

Cyryus has it pretty well covered. You will have a lower quality of experience for just general moving, climbing and adventuring if you don’t have 10 Agi, 30 Vit, 10 Grit, and 10 Enc.

The Vitality isn’t reachable for a lot of levels, so plan on needing a Yellow Lotus reset at mid-level if going slowly.

10 Enc is the first one I go for when starting.

Making use of conventional armor + Executioner’s Hood, Legendary weapons and shields, plus fish buffs and warpaints, my PvE thrall-leveling build for use in UC, Dagon, Warmaker and Wine Cellar is:

25-10-35-0-30-21-0
S - A - V -A-G- E -S

+5 STR in head and feet armor
+5 STR with wep to accompany shield
+3 STR with Catfish
+2 AGI with chest armor
+5 AGI with shield
+3 AGI with Grouper
+4 VIT with hands, legs
+3 VIT with Moray Eel
+3 ACC with Grouper
+3 GRT with Moray Eel
+3 ENC with Rhino Head Soup

Outcome
38-20-42-3-33-24-0
S - A - V -A-G- E -S

Strength can be raised to next perk via warpaint. Sacrificing a bit in the trade-off, in a pinch, ENC can be raised to Perk 3 (Pack Mule) with +6 points via ENC weapon or armor/combo. Similarly, ACC can be raised to Perk 1 with a +5 ACC legendary bow and warpaint.

Notes: I craft these numbers in Heavy and Blended Light/Medium Armors, using the Helm of the Brute for the Light Armor combo. There are plenty of ways to get these numbers without the special fish – they’re just more costly. Where possible, I try to leave room for helmet switching.

meh, your choices are 0.1 and 0.4…cause they messed with sliders (or even 0.6 if you go all way left and back up) Before they broke sliders, I was pretty happy with my settings. XD

Strength–4th Perk for hardest hit. 5th is a waste, unless you plan on tanking and getting hit a lot for it to kick in.
Agility–1st per and 2nd perk are more movement based. Side effect is the more you put, the more armor you have (4 per tick).
Vital–If you are tanking, 5th perk, otherwise at minimum 3rd perk.
Accuracy–Really a very niche play style uses it.
Grit—higher is more stamina. if you combo a lot (not suggested), then 3rd or 4th perk, if you counter attack, then 2nd perk will suffice.
Encumbrance—getting the 2nd is needed for pvp (debuff reduce time), the 5th is over rated if you have a pet/bearer thrall to carry your harvest runs.
Survival–Mainly farming.2nd double harvest per strike, 3rd doubles harvest for skinning. Basically instead of 2 strikes for 24 each on brimstone, it takes 1 for 48 to mine resource fully. If you get the right armors and bonuses, you can squeeze a nice 4th perk, and no debuffs affect you.

For armor, use one that is temp appropriate, and adds bonus points to the att you are going to spend the most in. Heavy is starting to make a comeback with dodge roll, but medium will suffice. Heavier the armor, the faster your stamina drains while moving/climbing.
For weapon, if you can, a legendary that has bonus atts, it helps max the points you spend. Daggers are geat to apply bleed stacks while you work in combos, and regenning stam/health on your end.

Use the special fish and/or elixirs for even more att buffs.

In general, there are meta’s, but find something that you like, and always go 3rd perk on vitality, 1st perk on agility, grit, and enc. From thier experiment.

I’m a weird player in the sense that I don’t try to get a high Strengh. STR 10 is sufficient for me for bonking new recruits. I can still kill things in melee, I just need to hit them more often - but a truncheon is a clumsy weapon, and harder human NPCs can be tough to knock out, so for quality of life I try to minimize the hassle of “hiring” new staff.

As for the rest, Vitality 30 is very useful. I spend a lot of time traveling, so I can usually get myself up to shape after getting scratched by a cat or dog on my way. Some Agility is useful, and I quite like the AGI 50 double-jump perk, although it’s a major investment of stat points. High Grit for more dodgy dodging, some ENC for carrying stuff, and some Survival for harvesting (and maybe poison immunity) can also be useful.

Basically, unless you want to be an archer, the only “dump stat” in the game is Accuracy. Everything else has utility. It’s up to you to choose which of these benefits you need the most, depending on your own playstyle.

I use a pred blade all the time so I go with
30-22-30-0-22-22-0 (thats from memory, it might be in slight error but the skill equalities are correct). I can run for days dragging a bum and have a good amount of encumbrance to work with and have the passive health regen. I disregard armor bonuses as I’ve got drop in death turned off on my server and I dont want to damage armor while leveling thralls… after that I choose armor based on temp and my immediate need (and look). I keep some asuras armor hand with the witch doctor mask to boost survival quickly when I want to do some quick harvesting of gold or silver, but respec when its time to process loads of brick. But I have never found any good use for bows…

SAVAGES

Str = 17
Agi= 0
Vit = 27
ACC = 0
GRIT = DUMP all unused.
ENC= 36
SUR= 14

With fishbuffs mostly.

bearer pack/khari helm, khari chest piece, perfect flawless light armor for rest

Shield + 5 survival
Blood tools,
Shank daggers with sunder and bestial claws.

My thrall (Ignasis Coffee-Drinker. Formerly Kisthis) uses sword of crom and godbreaker/pictish heavy.

This is my farming build + bodyguard.
I use it way too much… did most of the game content with this build… thrall kills stuff while I collect 100 000 stone or 50 000 wood ect.

Lately I’m testing this build: legendary 1h axe+flawless slaver or pictish to get to 50str, the rest in agi/grit/vit and a little in enc for the armor and weapon weights. Get a named dancer with bonus vit, she needs to be a tank/bullet sponge, give her daggers, possibly legendary daggers with reaper poison on.
I use 1h legendary axe and trowing axes for the dreidel combo+ warhammer and shield just in case, always try to have reaper poison on your equip, shield too, with the dreidel combo you can stack 10 poison very fast, the hammer to sunder enemies armors and shield in case there’s those pesky archers, when i need to heal i roll back to my dancer, and my dancer bleed my enemies while healing me.
Make sense?
It has been really good for soloing dungeons and bosses.
PS: 50str, 50% more damage when under 25% health, with the dreidel combo you’re a hurricane of damage.

I have an overall build for me. Never respec. Never used the 5th perk of enc.

I can tell the details later, but it kinda is
STR = >30
AGG = 20 (I fall down quite often)
VIT = 33
ACC = 0
GRIT = 17
ENC = 27
SURV = 5

For STR and VIT, I will edit it when I am at home. I always consume fishes (+3 GRIT = Grit at perk2) and have a potion for ENC always with me (which gives +3 and I am then at perk3 or swap to Baalpetors razer which gives +5ENC).

SURVIVAL at 5 is enough for most farming, because I put on the witchdoctor mask (+10 surv) and then use blackblood tools (+5 surv) which brings me to Perk2. If I do fur-farming (which is really rare) I even pump it up to perk3 with the Shield of Zabweth and same parts of Asura armor and/or warpaint/potion.

With my VIT armor I am at perk4 at vitiality and with the str armor I am at perk4 for str.

I wrote a whole thread a week or so ago about this.
Pop a Str potion and you have 40.
With Vit armor you at 40.
Some say 40/40 is ideal, I use it because it works.
For general care bear frolicking.
