I know this is probably mentioned somewhere buried in a few threads so it is a bit repetitive. Or was asked way in the past.
I suggest one future plan is give server admins additional tools to manage their servers. I know the developers are familiar with Joshtech and Pippi so the functions of the mod are not unknown.
Mainly:
Player Management with Player info, player heatmap, ability to modify/remove player, remove properties, etc.
Clan Management with Clan info, clan heatmap, ability to modify clan/remove, remove properties, etc.
I think most of the data is already available in the game’s database just needs a UI function to pull the information in user friendly format for server admins to use.
Personally, I think these are essential tools for any server can use. Consoles servers do not have these tools since they cannot have mods so this would benefit all. While other features of Pippi would be nice but I think these 2 should be priority items for any server management features the game should have.
Thank you for reviewing my suggestion and hopefully it will be accepted one day.
Have had a PVE-C ps4 server since shortly after game came out I would greatly appreciate any settings to help with admin preferred to have it in ingame settings since Gportal less than optimal.
Before I read the OP I was dubious what would be proposed, but I completely agree that those two features would be excellent to add. PVP private servers likely need those features to take the load off officials to be viable. For now, Pippi still works but if it breaks, those features will be missed dearly. Not only pvp, but pve servers who are open to the public may find themselves is a tough spot if they get a bad actor on the server. This is likely something that consoles have suffered for a long time so I ask a bit of indulgence for us spoiled PC players who could count on Pippi to solve this problem until now. I think focusing on those two features makes a lot of sense (being completely ignorant of how much work Josh may have had to do to implement them for players and by extension what Funcom would have to do). I acknowledge that its one thing to have a backend command structure that Funcom can use and another thing to implement it in a user friendly manner, but there is likely a little slack that can be cut there since only admins thru the admin panel will have to use it (it can lack polish since its not generally exposed).
Indeed, more tools are needed to administer the servers. The proof is that Pippi will soon stop. And it could also be useful for console players (XBox and PS).
