C’mon, this is PAID content, aren’t the artists at Funcom even a little ashamed of their mediocrity and carelessness? How can an “art director” with any self respect approve or does not fix a $#!+ job like this? This particular shield was one of the main reasons I purchased the DLC, do these people have any self respect?
Now, it may be you folk don’t care, that this aberration is just fine, but to me, as an artist and character creator, allowing 4 full fingers to clip through a shield qualifies for professional capital punishment… I was embarrassed when I first so gleefully wielded it, only to be smacked with one of the most egregious examples of laziness I have seen in this beautiful, wonderful game.
Again, to most of you this won’t seem like a tragedy, evidently, since obviously not enough folk went up in arms about this, but I sure as hell do, it is a paid DLC for effs sake.

Not helpful but true. As long as people accept shoddy goods/services they will be pervasive. People will naturally put in the least amount of effort for the most amount of gain if they can get away with it.
The dlc is about 5 years old and it is what it is - no change.
Well, this player is not 5 years old, and has all the right in the world to complain, even tho no one cares. Not all players started the day it came out, I am only 1100 hours in and still foolishly buying bunk.

I agree with you. As I said it is truly unnaccptable. As someone who has worked in software development and works on my own projects I am constantly embarrassed by the industry.
Sounds more like Schopen Heimer, or Immanuel Kant. You would never imagine something like this could happen. This is not a projection of the world I care for as a whole, the entire thing is just shit.
My honest hope is that you’ll take the time to file a Bug Report, and thus ensure this gets to the appropriate person in the team. They are responsive.
In the meantime, have you considered perhaps your character is simply too strong for that kind of shield. Maybe ease back on the finger pushups.
I wasn’t gonna type anything because I detest when I can’t help myself from typing something mean, but my god, I can’t remember the last time I read such a feeble attempt at a wit zing. Not even in the realm of humorous, I would refrain from using wit as a comeback if I were you.
It was more an attempt to help you understand that while crying into the wind is not helpful, asking for assistance will often yield results.
Instead of becoming impotently angry at the whole goshdarn world for things you can’t control, until it’s fixed try pretending you’re too strong for the shield. Pretending. You do realize we’re not actually big scawwy bawbarians, right?
Wow, even that “attempt” missed miserably. Ok not a lame joke, not an RP attempt, but a chance for me to reflect on the futility of posting a complaint about shoddy graphics on a paid DLC in the very forums of Funcom, under Feedback… it is all becoming clear now, thank you.
I think it is clear by now he would rather drown in a salty sea of his own tears than file a proper bug report. There is no point in attempting to bail out any more water at this time, let the boulder sink to the bottom.
And if you file it within Bug Reports it will be seen by technicians rather than people willing to discuss other things. There is the strong likelihood that you are the first to identify this issue. Although I use that shield infrequently, I think I would have remembered a problem like that.
Part of Bug Reporting is hoping it’s seen, the rest is pretending to go along with the error until it’s fixed.
