A blue lair chest in CotSG didn’t drop a red bag when my inventory was full but the white chests did produce them. I ran away from the chest and came back to make sure it had indeed opened.
Red bags do stack together.
If there was already one or several red bag(s) on the floor next to you, the chest content went into it.
Did you compare the logs with what you actually picked up ?
Do you know what you’re missing ?
