Building a curve

This isn’t a bug- Try not to fall off your seats!
I have been building a city (and I’m still building) modelled on Ancient Rome with elements of the Ancient cities of Ostia, Heculaneum and Pompeii thrown in (with one building from Modern Rome to boot…). It’s slowly growing and I’m pretty happy with what I’ve done. I would like to build the Theatre of Ostia or the Roman Colosseum but building curves is an absolute…edited. Anyway, does anyone have any pointers for me how I can create a wide curve in the game? I could then build these buildings and more…
With thanks and appreciation

The main way is to use a mix of wedges and squares. It’ll get you to a dodecagon (12 sides) of variable sizes, which is about as far as the build system will allow.

Start with a set of six wedges in the centre forming a hexagon. Add a square on the outer edge of each wedge, that’ll allow space for a wedge in between each - that’s your base twelve sides, from there you can expand outwards with additional squares and wedges until the shape is as wide as you desire. You can easily start from the outside and build inwards once you understand the base shape - just easier to explain from the centre outwards.

(I’ll grab a screenshot or two to more easily show)

Here’s an example of the sort of shape I mean (outlined in red) - each ring of the shape can be rotated, so doesn’t have to follow the exact pattern. I’ll pull together a clearer example in a bit when I have time to get into the game.

Edit -
here’s a clearer game image - note, with several sets, you may need to play around with the rotation of the pieces, particularly the wedges, to get the patterns to line up in a pleasing way. As noted above, each successive ring of the ‘circle’ can be rotated, so you can, for example, add roads that enter into the pattern.

Perhaps these sample patterns will be of use to you.

It really is a shame they don’t have curved foundations, roof pieces and ceiling tiles for each set to be able to make proper looking spires and other more rounded architectural designs.

I know there are “some” rounded pieces for some of the sets, but not nearly enough to cover an entire design layout from foundation to roof and for each set.

Instead of more placeables they should focus on finishing each of the sets to include these types of items.

Id’ like to get half sized walls and foundations as well or at least the ability to resize them so i can make raised flooring like with the wooden stage platform pieces.

At any rate gl lol.
