Building error's not resolved after lates patch

I built a normal small tower (2 rings, 3 floors and a roof)

This is what I found after returning

This should also be priority 1 before releasing

Hey @Sting01

Thanks for the feedback again. We’ll send your findings to our team as they continue to work on ironing this issue out

Hey @Sting01

Does this issue still occur to you when loading your base? We tried to reproduce this issue internally and we cannot do it yet.

No, the day after, the base was normal again.

I am under the impression that it’s only recently build pieces that ‘go wandering’.
I can tell you exactly what we did.
We left the building, went around the mountain where the rocknose king is, killed it, climed up to the bridge over the river to go talk to the pirate queen, then slid down the mountain to where the rocknoses are and from there we saw the broken build.

before we left I build the pieces and the tower was perfect, when we came back it was in the state I posted earlier.
With the build on the PVE-C server it was also only recently build pieces that went wandering.
Since we stopped building, the base remains solid.

Might this somehow be connected to the “Owner: No owner” bug that sometimes occurs on a fresh or recent building project that hasn’t fully “baked in” with the ownership landclaim of the rest of the blocks?

I have observed this on Live before. Some of the blocks placed will show owned by me. Other blocks that are snapped-to, and immediately adjacent, will show up owned by “no owner.” There is no real pattern, rhyme, or reason to it that I am aware of. Though I have heard previously that there was some kind of exploitative process to unowned blocks (no idea here, truly - hearsay).

If there was some kind of landclaim or ownership “correction” or reconciliation that has been added, that may be why parts of your tower have been sloughed off.

Thanks again for the additional information. We’re looking into it :eyes:

I don’t know how or when the testlive servers are restarted
May I suggest the following test:

Build a tower with 1 floor (make it a proper one, just some foundations and walls might not provide a great enough sample)
Restart the server
Go out of range of the tower, and come back
Build a couple of floors on top of the tower
Go out of range of the tower, and come back
Restart the server
Go out of range of the tower, and come back

See if you can reproduce it this way.
