Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Build with hexagons (6 triangle wedge foundations or ceilings)
  2. Build base in triangle shape connecting three hexagons together.
  3. Build multiple levels with floor filled in.
  4. Ceilings do not connect the closer to the center they go. Requires support beams at ever other wedge. Also the O’snaps tend to be overly sensitive or they don’t register at all.
My suggestion is to remove hexagon wedges and add octagon wedges. Builds will fit together better with less hassle. Or keep Hex and add Oct. Whatever you do you should add Oct wedges for better and more proficient building freedom. I am actually unsure why hex was even put into this game. It didn’t really make sense to me. Cool feature but Oct makes way more sense. I would be more than happy to show a dev what I am talking about through pic’s or in game.

I don’t know if this applies to single player or not, but on multiplayer the wall palisades are not placeable anywhere at all. It keeps saying “Overlapping other object or terrain” no matter where you try to place them. Even in an open field on a flat level surface with nothing around you still get the same message.

As far as what you are talking about with needing support beams, that is how it’s always been. You can’t build more than about 4 tiles without support and that is how it should be. It’s just plain physics, gravity will not allow you to place a pencil on the edge of a desk all the way out to the end without it tipping over and falling now will it? Any further than halfway and it will tip over and fall as will your tiles in the game so you need support on the end.

As far as adding Hex tiles, 6 triangles make a hex so they are not needed. Mixing triangles and squares will make an octogon too. It’s a matter of learning to make use of what you have at your disposal. The system in place is actually quite an interesting solution to making circular towers to form castles from just 2 basic shapes. I would suggest that you watch this video about making castles using these 2 shapes. I shows just what you can do with just a square and a triangle from a small to a very large tower base and some really cool castle ideas.
How To Build A Castle

Ohh no Im not saying take away the weight from the wedges to be able to place them at longer spans. I got to a point were the wedges did not want to be placed only 2 away from a wall or support pillar. At one point I had about 6 pillars right next to each other in front of an existing wall just to fill the empty spots. It was all symmetrical btw. It looked and functioned so poorly I took down the whole structure and just built a huge box with inner walls. Also i was thinking of 1/2 wedges I believe. I don’t think its possible to make a oct shape with the two existing shapes in game (1/6 wedge and square). Unless you can learn how to make 1/2 or 1/4 wedges somewhere in game. Trust me I don’t want to change the physics. I just want better functionality and a smidge more variety.
