Sadly I have not found anything about that yet, hence the question.
With the help of certain mods, it is possible for players to build anywhere on the map, even on these ruins strewn across the Exiled Lands.
But as it stands, many servers using one of these mods, prohibit building on or in black structures. I once heard the rumor it causes server crashes. But I never found any hard evidence or bug reports about such an issue.
That is why I am now asking here, whether someone knows how this rumor might have come to life or if it is infact a misconception.
At least on some black ruins, it is possible to build without any mods, e. g. the broken bridge on noob river. I once repaired that brigde by puzzling foundations into it, also a similar broken bridge on Isle of Siptah. Never had a crash from that.
Thank you, have a nice day too m8. I have builded a lot of times in ruins, especially in jungle the ruins have so many hideouts you just can’t imagine. Actually I would suggest you to visit jungle and understand what I am talking about. The landscape there combined with the music is my favorite in the game. It is true however that since I builded a bridge museum in xel ha docks I had serious performance issues
Yet I believe it was more the information this build was holding than the build. It was fully decorated and had every single weapon exile lands could provide on single weapon racks, too many candles sculls etc. I build in my solo server a structure that has ten times more building pieces than the museum above but it has nothing decorative inside, it is just empty, so I have 0 lags, no mater if it has hundreds of torches. So I believe that (speaking for Playstation) decorative are the ones that effect the server performance more than building pieces. Yet it is just my personal opinion, probably I am wrong.
