Is there anything i can do when someone builds as close as possible to your base? Ever since he started building my lag is getting worse.
Go over, introduce yourself, bring them a cake and welcome them to the neighborhood! That’s what you can do, be a good neighbor!

If it is PVP make sure the cake has a lot of explosives?

OP, are you PVE? Try to resolve it politely while he’s online. If his build get hit by a purge, the purge can hit your build too. He could be ignorant of this or he did it on purpose for this very reason- to direct purge mobs over to you to minimize damages to him. If that’s the case, its a bit griefy.
His base is directly between me and another base. Only reason he can’t build further over towards the other base is cause of an npc camp.
But what server type are you on? PvE, PVE-c? Im assuming its either because if pvp you could just raid him. We could work out problem solving routes if we knew what rules you have to abide by.
Pve.
Step 1) wait until he’s online and very nicely explain he built too close to you and you’d be happy to assist him move to another location. Since he has the ability to pick up his building pieces at full health, its not a big deal.
Step 2) take screenshots of the whole conversation, never get rude even if he has an attitude. If he says no to moving, go to Zendesk and file a report with the screenshots of the convo and be a clear about the situation as possible. Say in the report “his build threatens my bases safety due to the purge machanics radius and it disrupts my game play experience.”
Gonna try. He doesn’t have a clan name so trying to figure out when of if hes online is gonna be fun. And as for purge mechanics its gonna hit me or the other base since he has the river on the west side, cliff on the east and bases to the north and south protecting him.
Stand directly in front of his wall, almost as if your character is in time out and hold “TAB”. You’ll see his player ID pop up along with his bases timer.

Patience, decay finds them all. Consoles has performance issues, especially the old versions. The greatest I have on ps4 is the rendering issue, other than lags . I hope you’ll be able to communicate and have worries no more.
Happened to me too a few times, luckily these players don’t last long
